We ran and didn't dare to look back. Jorge led us through the scorch, mentioning someone named Marcus; who could supposedly help us to The Right Arm.

The heat seemed to have calmed, sunset started to approach. Jorge suggested that we stop at a safe spot for the night, which we gladly did.

After an hour more or two of walking, it got darker.

We stopped and someone decided to make a fire. As I was warming my hands near the fire, I winced.

I put my hands in fists, looking for the source of the pain. A sigh left my mouth as I inspected my beat up hands.

My knuckles were red and covered in dried blood from the night that I lashed out at Thomas.

I shuddered at the memory, pulling a medical kit out of my bag to clean my wound and partly to get my mind off of my fight with Thomas.

I didn't want to think about any of it.

I walked to a nearby rock, sitting on it comfortably - well... as comfortable as you can get on a rock.

The cloth became slightly heavier as I carefully poured rubbing alcohol on it.

Just as the towel touched my knuckle, I hissed. It wasn't too painful but the heat from the fire stung ever so slightly.

I was about to continue until someone walked up to me, I didn't even have to look up to know it was Newt.

"What?" I huffed.

He said nothing and instead, he took the alchohol and towel from my hands.

Before I knew it, he took my hand in
his, gently dabbing the damp cloth on
my knuckles. Blowing lightly on it whenever I hissed.

He repeated the process on my other hand, wrapping my injuries in thin-rolled gauze.

My legs were on either side of his waist, I didn't realize it until now.

I looked up at him to tell him he could back off now that he's done but was instantly caught in a trance, the fire's reflection illuminating in his brown eyes caught me off guard.

It took me a while to get back to my senses, that's when I noticed my hands were still in his as well as his body trapped between my legs.

I quickly pulled my hands back and moved my legs away while mumbling a small 'thanks', finding the moon quite interesting all of a sudden.

He hummed in response, followed by crunching sand as he walked away.

Our destination was reached, Marcus' house. The second we stepped through the door, I knew they weren't normal.

Blasting music was playing, people swaying to the music. It looked like a normal frat guys party but it was no where near normal.

I didn't need to ask before Jorge explained that people often come here to party out their last days before becoming a mindless crank.

Basically, we were in a room full of cranks. Just not deadly ones...yet.

"If I didn't know any better, I think Brenda and your little friend have already been here." Jorge guessed.

He searched for about 10 minutes before finding the man we were looking for.

I didn't pay much attention to what was going on but I paid enough attention to know that Marcus was tied to a chair and getting punched repeatedly by Jorge for not telling us where right arm is.

And we also found Brenda and Thomas, who were both passed out when we found them.

According to Jorge, to get inside the house in the first place, they had to drink something. Which was really really strong alchohol I assume.

I got pulled out of my thoughts as Jorge's fist collided with Marcus' face once more, making him grunt in pain.

His face was red, swelling and bruising but he chooses to continue laughing and mocking Jorge.

I finally got tired of it and stepped up with my gun in hand. I clicked it out of safety, putting it directly at his forehead.

"Talk." I said lowly.

"WOAH, OK OK."

"They are camping near the north mountains ok!? That's all I know! I promise!" He stumbled on his words.

I slowly lowered my gun. "See? that wasn't so hard was it?" A smile creeped its way onto my face.

"You're still as badass as I remember, Hermana. Now...Let's take Bertha."
