Nailea was already mid sprint to the cage before any of the girls could even finish processing that the stick alarm went off.
The next stick is suppose to arrive next month.

'There's no way on earth that I was in the maze for a whole month.' She thought.

Nailea jumped into the metal cage her mind too occupied to remember the others. She searched through the —almost pitch black— darkness for a person. More specifically, a girl.

Then she heard breathing.

Nailea followed the light, shallow breaths and was met with a person curled up in the corner, just like every other stick. Nailea had her mind set on impersonating Sonya. 'It couldn't be that hard, right?' She told herself.

"Hello" Nailea said as softly as she could. She couldn't see the person's face as it was covered with the hood of their sweater. Nailea sat down a metre in front of the stick, hearing the other girls' footsteps and murmurs getting louder with each moment that passes.

She waited until the stick noticed her sitting nearby but when the hood fell behind the stick's head Nailea was beyond astonished.

It was a boy.

Did W.C.K.D make a mistake? He isn't suppose to be here.

Nailea racked her brain, trying to remember the information from the day she broke in three years ago. That's when she recalled a small bit of information. This experiment only lasts three years.

He is the final trigger to the end of W.C.K.D's experiment.

The sun glowed even brighter into the cage and that's when she saw him clearly. He had dishevelled light brown hair, some dirt on his face, he had beautiful light blue eyes and pink tinted lips, a strongly structured nose.

Nailea's eyes darted around his features for a couple of seconds, just admiring him. He looked somewhat familiar. She don't really recognize him as someone she closely knew but his features looked awfully familiar.

It's been a while since she saw a proper boy that wasn't a crank. It was trippy.

The girl could feel eyes burning into her skull. Knowing it was Sonya and Harriet, She looked up to see them peering down at us from the opening of the cage.

"Is that a boy?" Harriet asked in disbelief, followed by an audible gasp from Sonya.

Some girls murmured and whispered, already coming up with reason to think he's a danger to us. Others thought he was attractive, and Nailea didn't blame them. "Please don't let them come down."

That wasn't a girl's voice.

Nailea turned back to the boy, something wasn't right. She asked her two friends. "Guys did you hear the stick talk?" When she didn't get a response, she faced them. Confusion evident in their expressions. Sonya asked, "What do you mean?"

"Did the he talk or not?" This time they answered, both answering no.

Nailea held eye contact with the boy for a minute or so. Then she heard it again.

"I didn't say it out loud."
