I couldn't get to sleep, so I went out to get a drink. I went to the vending machine outside the dorm building and got some iced tea.

As I was returning to the lobby, I saw that the elevator was currently occupied by someone. Curious, I checked the camera feed from inside the elevator and saw my lovely classmate, Horikita, clad in her school uniform.

Well this was certainly unexpected. What could Horikita be doing so late into the night with her uniform on?

I hid behind the elevator wall, making sure that Horikita couldn't see me and called my new loyal helper.

After a few rings, she finally picked up.

"What the hell do you want from me this late, Ayanokouji-kun?" Kushida complained from the other side of the line. She sounded quite sleepy. After all it almost midnight so most students would either be asleep right now or start good to sleep.

"I just saw your mortal enemy in this school heading out of the dorm wearing her school uniform." As I said that, the elevator finally landed on the lobby floor. Horikita stepped out and scanned her surroundings, making sure that nobody would know what she's currently doing.

"Horikita-san? What's that bitch doing out so late?" Since Kushida was fairly certain that I was alone, she opted to use her darker side to converse with me. It honestly felt a bit more natural talking to her like this.

"I don't know she just left the builind and I'm currently following her from a distance." Horikita was far away, enough that she can't possibly detect me.

"What are you, a stalker?" I could hear Kushida giggle at the other end, enjoying her little joke. I do believe that she perceives me as some sort of stalker based on my current and past actions.

"Do you want to join me in uncovering Horikita's secret? It'll probably be worth it." I actually didn't know if this was worth it, but my innate curiosity wouldn't be satisfied if I don't know what Horikita's doing. I'm pretty sure Kushida feels the same way.

"Fine. It sounds fun, plus I can get some dirt on that Horikita. But... I don't know where you are though." I was expecting this response. It's a good thing I fiddled around with my phone settings earlier and found a tracking app.

"You can track me via my phone. There's a feature like that in your contacts. I had it set so only you and the teachers can track me." Honestly a tracking feature on our phones is both a blessing and a curse. I could figure out where most people are (since a lot of people don't know of this feature and haven't turned the off.), but the school can as well. Pretty annoying if you're making some shady deals that goes against the school rules. Not that I plan on doing something like that...

"Wait you can do that?!" I heard her scream and I instinctively put my phone away from my ear. I still continued following Horikita to wherever she plans to go to.

"Yes you can. I'll cut the call now so that I can move around a bit easier. Remember just track my phone and you'll know where I am." I cut the call before she even has a chance to respond. She must be quite annoyed at my actions right now. If so then it was worth it.

I follow Horikita until she arrived at an alleyway behind a building. There was a conveniently placed street lamp that just barely lights up the dark alley.

Horikita stopped in her tracks. I sensed another person was with her.

“Suzune. I didn’t think you’d follow me this far,” he said.

I recognized that voice. If I was right then Horikita's behavior during the club fair would make sense.

“Hmph. I’m far different from the useless girl you once knew, niisan. I
came here to catch you.”
