A/N: This was a request here on wattpad for the reader getting an electric guitar and Kaminari teaching them how to play it
"Denki! I got it!" you exclaimed, showing him a gig bag with a huge smile on your face.
"Hell yeah, let's go then. I don't know if I'm much of a teacher but I'm gonna give it a try" Kaminari smirked.
You went to his dorm room and you set the gig back on his bed to get out your new electric guitar. It was red and black and as shiny as could be. You were so excited to learn how to play, and you had the best teacher you could hope for. You were a bit hesitant to pick it up but did anyway.
"We're not gonna plug it into the amp just yet. I'm gonna teach you the different, basic finger positions first and we'll go from there. Do you have a pick?" Kaminari asked.
"Aaaaah, nope" you smiled awkwardly, rubbing the back of your neck.
"Okay, no worries, I'll give you one" Kaminari said, reaching for a pick that was on his desk. "Now grab the guitar and we can get started. We're gonna tune it first so plug this in" he handed you a tuner.
Kaminari grabbed his own guitar and showed you how to tune yours.
"This is a lot more complicated than I thought. I figured I could just start playing"
"Oooh no babe, that's not how this works" Kaminari grinned. "It takes a lot of dedication to learn how to play, especially if you wanna be good at it"
"I'm ready, just show me what to do"
"So first"...
Kaminari started showing you all the basic finger positions. You were sitting opposite of each other and he was showing you what to do.
"Babe, you're like, really bad at this" Kaminari teased playfully.
"Maybe you just suck as a teacher" you teased back.
"Ah, how dare you even suggest that?" Kaminari gasped melodramatically.
You both started laughing.
You calmed down eventually and tried to continue your guitar lesson, but it didn't really go anywhere.
"I think that's enough for today, we've been at this for an hour" you sighed.
"If you say so, you did pretty good for a first timer" Kaminari grinned proudly.
"Thanks Denki, if it's okay with you, I'd like to make this a regular thing"
"Sure, it was fun" he smiled.
"It's a date then, or multiple time-yet-to-be-determined dates"
"Yep"
Kaminari was happy you'd asked him to teach you how to play. It was a fun time for the both of you and something for you to do together and to bond over.
