Taken advantage of (Kirishima)

A/N: A request on tumblr for a reader that gets taken advantage of easily because they're too kind and also hate confrontation. I didn't put much effort into this because I have so much school stuff to do and don't have the time, but I think this is still an okay comfort thing

Kirishima had always been worried about how much you let people walk all over you. Even though you didn't seem to take it that way. You always went out of your way to be too kind to people who didn't really deserve it. Kirishima loved how kind you were, but he was also worried it might one day blow up in your face. Someone would inevitably take advantage of your kindness in a big way that would really end up hurting you.

You and Kirishima had been dating for almost two years when you finally reached your breaking point with a few of your so-called friends.

Kirishima was supposed to meet you for lunch in the cafeteria, but he had been late because he got caught up talking with his friends, and you had to deal with the whole situation alone. He had only seen you running out of the cafeteria, and he had just figured you had gone to get something that you'd forgotten in your classroom. When you didn't come back, he went to look for you.

Kirishima ran into your best friend, who told him you had gone back to the dorms because you weren't feeling well. She also told him you looked like you'd been crying.

There were still 20 minutes left on the lunch break, so he decided to run all the way to the dorms to see what was going on with you. He texted Bakugou that he might be a bit late for gym class and to please tell the teacher he'd come as soon as he could. Kirishima didn't check what his friend answered, he just hurried to the dorms.

You felt like shit. How could you have been so stupid? You hated confrontation so you hadn't even argued against anything your "friends" had yelled at you, you had just stood there. When you finally managed to gain control of yourself again, you just ran out of there with tears in your eyes.

You had just gotten to the dorm's front door, when you started hearing running footsteps getting closer. You turned around to see who it was, and you saw your boyfriend at the bottom of the stairs, breathing heavily.

"Are you okay?" Kirishima asked between breaths.

"I'm not feeling well so I got the rest of the day off. I'm okay though, you should go back to class Eiji" you tried to assure him while you opened the front door.

"Your friend said she saw you crying, so I know you're not okay. Please tell me what's going on"

You sighed, before sitting down on the stairs. Kirishima joined you and you leaned your head on his shoulder.

"I'm an idiot, a naive goddamn idiot. I really thought they were my friends, but they just wanted to take advantage of me" you sniffled.

"What do you mean? Who?" Kirishima asked.

"You remember those two girls in the support course that wanted to talk to me a few weeks ago?"

"Yeah, did they do something?"

"They got pissed at me for not buying them lunch and started yelling at me for being a useless friend"

"I'm not saying I told you so, but I have been telling you that you're too kind to people who don't deserve it" Kirishima said.

"I guess, I just don't see it like you do. I don't know when people are just using me" you sniffled.

Kirishima didn't mean anything bad by it, he just wished you wouldn't have to get hurt to see the truth about people. It was like you only saw the good in people, even when there wasn't anything good there to begin with.

"It's not like there's anything wrong with wanting to see the good in people, but you also need to see the other things" Kirishima said, wrapping his arm around your shoulders and rubbing your upper arm.

"I know, but I don't know how to do that" you sighed.

"We can practice together. I can try to teach you" Kirishima suggested.

"Thanks Eiji" you said and kissed him on the cheek.

He really wanted to help you, and even though he had promised to teach you, he had no idea how. He was going to learn though.
