It happened so quickly. Kirishima didn't even have time to react. He was still standing in place when you hit the floor. You didn't move, and you didn't even seem like you were breathing. Kirishima dropped to his knees next to you, and the tears were falling from his eyes. He pulled you to his arms and buried his face to the crook of your neck. His body was ragging with sobs. With the last of your strenght, you stroked his hair, as you took a shaky breath.

"Don't worry Eiji. It's gonna be okay.", you whispered.

"NO! No it's not. You're dying. Nothing is okay.", he growled.

"You're okay.", you smiled gently, while the tears were wetting your cheeks.

"I'm not, if I lose you I'm not okay. I'm never gonna be okay again."

"Eiji, you'll be okay some day, not tomorrow or the day after that, but eventually you'll be fine.", you said quietly, with sadness coloring your voice.

You could feel the life leaving your body, you had no strenght left to move, and you could barely speak. Kirishima was holding onto you for dear life, and sobbing his eyes out. You didn't want to leave him, this beautiful person you had fallen in love with and who also loved you. You could feel his tears on your skin.

"Eiji, I don't wanna go. I love you and I want to see what the future holds for us.", you sobbed weakly.

"I love you too [Name], I want to see our future too."

You looked at Kirishima with a gentle smile, you were crying, but some small part of you was happy that he wanted the same thing as you. The rest of you on the other hand, was terrified. You didn't want to die, not now when you had everything you could have hoped for, but all of your happiness was going to be stripped away from you.

A few tears rolled down your cheek and you closed your eyes. You took your last shaky breath, and with that, you were gone. As Kirishima noticed this and laid you down to the ground very gently. He kissed your forehead for one last time, before he got up and walked a bit further away from you. Then he fell to his knees and started hitting the ground. He didn't harden himself and after a while of shouting and crashing his fists to the gravel, his hands were bleeding. He felt hopeless and weak.

It had been a week since you died. Your funeral was today, but Kirishima couldn't bring himself to attend. He felt responsible and like he didn't have the right to go to your funeral, but he wasn't far. Kirishima was sitting under a big oak tree, close to the cemetary. He could just barely hear what people were saying, not that he really cared.

The funeral was over, but Kirishima was still just sitting there. He didn't want to leave. He just wanted to sit there and grieve, but a little noise from above him peaked his interest. He looked up, and saw that there was a cat sitting in the tree. It was staring at him with it's (e/c) eyes.

"Hey, little buddy. Lemme help you down.", he said as he got up.

For some reason the cat intrigued him. There was something weirdly familiar about it.

"You're the same one that has been going around our yard.", he realized.

Kirishima climbed to the same branch where the cat was sitting and leaned against the tree trunk. He just sat there, watching the cat, and the cat was watching him. It was a silent staring competition. Eventually the cat padded to Kirishima, and purred against his leg.

"You're pretty cute actually.", he sighted.

Now that he actually observed the cat, he noticed something peculiar. It's fur matched your hair color, and the eyes were same as yours too. Somehow it made him sad, the cat reminded him if you. He sniffled, and the cat raised it's head to look at him. If cat's had facial expressions this one would be worried.

"It's nothing little guy... or girl. Just that, someone I loved died very recently and... Why am I talking to a cat? Let's just get you down from here."

Kirishima scooped the cat to his arms, and was ready to climb down, but to his misfortune he slipped. He fell to the ground on his back, still holding the cat. He didn't fall from very high, but he was more worried about the cat than himself. He released his arms around the cat, and luckily it seemed to be totally fine.

"Oh thank god.", he sighted.

The cat stood on Kirishima's chest, and was looking straight into his eyes. Then the cat lowered it's head, and laid down on his chest. It still glanced at him every now and then. Kirishima didn't want to move, for the first time after your death, he felt a bit better, a bit more peaceful.
