'Now, let's meet now.' Riker rushed out of bed to received the will. I patiently waited as I got my daily injections and medications. I sat down at the table with everyone and an amazing breakfast was served.
I sighed. I hope my dad was healing properly. No one's really gave me Intel about my dad. Did they think I'd forget how my own blood sacrificed himself to save the team and ended up in the ER?
After my meal, I called Sir Johnny. 'Hey sweetheart.' He exchanged pleasantries. 'How's dad?' I was in so much anticipation. 'Wow not even a hie back? Where are my girl's manners?' He laughed. 'Johnny!' I frowned even though he couldn't see me.
'Alright angry bird. Your dad is okay, he just has burn wounds that are healing at lightning speed. You wanna talk to him?' He asked. Was that even worth asking.
Johnny put dad on the phone and I was happy to hear his voice. 'Dad I'm glad you're okay. I was so worried.' I told him and all I got in reply was crying. 'Aww my daughter was worried about me. Maybe I should visit the ER more often.' He laughed.
'No dad don't say that. I don't like seeing you hurt.' I really meant it. He laughed and distracted me with more conversation. Though he was laughing and conversing properly, I could tell something was off. They were definitely hiding something. I decided not to press on it.
Johnny told me that Eldon was really healthy and stable. 'We're all anticipating his waking up any day now. My son can be stubborn.' He laughed sourly. We chatted for a bit and I told them how I had enjoyed the previous day. They were happy for me.
After the call, Doc Garcia took me to an examination lab where he removed my bandage. It'd been long since I tried to look at it. The horrendous sight awakened panic attacks so Doc had advised me not to peek. He'd even put a cloth between my head and tummy. Even Megan covered my face whenever she'd dress my wound.
Something was different about this time. I wanted to look. I needed to see myself. It took a second for me to move the cloth aside and glance at my exposed side. I almost shrieked.
All I could see was black. The skin around the blade wound, the cut area that wouldn't heal and my insides that had begun to fall out; all was black. At that point, I wasn't even taken aback by the sight. 'So have you found a cure for me?' I asked Doc.
'I'm about to reach a breakthrough.' He said. 'Tiago brought in the sword of demise you guys discovered in the storage. And Riker surrendered the information concerning production of the sword. I've been analysing them. It's definitely not something within my scope of understanding but I'm trying my best.' He told me.
'Riker what?!'
'He came clean. About the swords and all. Yesterday, he personally destroyed all the swords they had and the other ammunition. That was the last mission they had before the gang was disassembled.' Doc smiled as if proud of him. Riker was really a changed man.
I laid back down as doc did whatever procedure that involved cutting, injecting, sewing and weirder things. When he was done, he put back the bandage. He called in Megan to massage my abdomen and back.
'When will I be able to walk again doc?' I stared intently waiting for a reply. 'I'm afraid not anytime soon. Your body is weak and that shot...' He glared at Megan '... that shot made you weaker.' He said. ''But Daisy I promise you'll be okay. I called in one of the best specialist doctors I know to watch you for a few days. He's healed many patients before and I'm sure he can do it again.'
