Puncture: The Finny's Funland Murders

Chapter 5: Sink Or Swim

Katy, Sean and Liam walked rapidly down the same pathways Will screamed and ran down only 10 minutes previously. They were all terrified of who could have killed Sam, but Katy tried to not show it in order to keep their spirits high.

"It's gonna be ok guys, we're gonna get out of this" said Katy, with a quiver in her voice, showing her unease.
"How the hell are we going to get out?! We're gonna die here!" Replied Sean, sobbing.

Liam instantly grabbed his brother to comfort him while they began walking to the Finny's Funland Bridge. The rotted wood of the bridge creaked and moaned as they slowly walked over it, too scared to move quickly in case the wood gave way and they'd fall through it. As they walked, they all noticed someone at the other end of the bridge. They looked exactly like how Will described, it was The Killer.

They stood there in shock at the site of this person, unable to move. The Killer slowly started waking towards them, which turned into a jog, which turned into a sprint. The trio finally moved out of the way, Katy and Liam to one rail of the bridge, and Sean to the other.

The Killer immediately turned towards Sean as he was alone. They walked towards him, and lifted his knife to stab him. They were about to plunge the knife down into his neck but Liam grabbed The Killer to stop stabbing him. Liam tried to grab the knife from their hand but was unsuccessful. Katy ran and helped Sean up while Liam rattled with The Killer.

"Fuck you!" Shouted Liam, trying to punch The Killer and avoiding slashes at the same time.

The knife, tinted with blood was being swung about wildly until eventually it was plunged into Liam's arm. He screamed in pain and looked up at The Killer who then quickly removed the knife from his arm. Sean, seeing this, ran towards The Killer, grabbed, and pushed him to the floor. Katy went to see how bad Liam's arm was, there was a visible hole that went completely through his arm.

"How bad does it hurt?" Asked Katy.
"Like hell." Replied Liam.

Before they could say more, Sean and The Killer both fell onto Liam, still fighting. Katy moved away and then stumbled over her feet, falling and hitting her head. The Killer stabbed Sean twice, once in his leg, and once in his gut. He stood up, and tried to fight The Killer again, but Liam pushed him to the side.

"Don't you dare hurt my brother!" Shouted Liam.

Katy stood up, dizzy from hitting her head, and quickly grabbed Sean and moved him to the other side of the bridge.

"You stay here, I'm gonna go get Liam." Said Katy.

She ran back to Liam and The Killer, stumbling every few seconds. She tried to get a few hits in on The Killer but was unsuccessful. She then tried to grab Liam to get him out but Liam kept fighting.

"Get Sean to safety, I'll keep this fucker occupied." Shouted Liam.

Katy wasted no time in running back and helping Sean up to his feet. Katy put Sean's hand over her shoulder and they went as fast as they could towards the park entrance.

Liam and The Killer kept fighting, both gaining and losing the upper hand multiple times. This went on for a bit until The Killer stabbed Liam in the stomach. Liam immediately fell to the floor where The Killer looked down at him. The Killer dropped their knife and picked Liam up. They continued to throw Liam onto the floor, and then into the lampposts of the bridge.

Once The Killer was done with their fun, they picked up their knife and plunged it into Liam's back, paralysing him from the neck down. The Killer then grabbed Liam like how a firefighter would pick up someone lost in a fire, walked towards the rail of the bridge, and then dropped Liam into the park's centre lake. The sound of the enormous splash echoed all throughout the park.

The Killer then tilted their head and then uttered three words in a soft, almost comforting tone:

"Enjoy your swim."
