Jacob, Will and Katy walked back down the pathway that just 10 minutes ago Jacob and Will were attacked down. They tried to keep to the side of the paths and tried to walk behind the foliage engrossing the park. As they were walking, Will kept thinking of if their plan would work and more specifically, if Sean would be ok. He tried to hide his feelings from the other two but Jacob picked up on them instantly. He looked at him to say that everything will be ok and they kept walking. The only thing they could hear besides their own panicked breaths, winces and twigs beneath their feet was the same song, repeating and repeating, and repeating again until the point of it being unbearable.
"That song is so fucking annoying." Spouted Will.
"Don't worry, it'll be off soon." Replied Jacob, trying to crack a joke through the pain he felt.Katy kept quiet, still not recovering from her head injury. She slowed down slightly but still tried to keep up with the others until they stopped, they were outside the gift shop and Hall of Mirrors. The boys crouched and Katy followed.
"I don't wanna be noticed around here, that fucker may still be in there." Said Will.
"With any luck they are, laying in their own blood and shards of glass." Replied Jacob, in a less funny, but still reassuring tone. They noticed that they may have a chance to move past the building if they snuck around it to avoid the Killer. One by one, they ran across the pathway while keeping their bodies close to the floor to avoid detection. First Jacob, then Katy, then Will. They all made it without detection and began to move behind the building and into the growth that had taken over, tripping over branches and snapping twigs under their feet, making their position known to anyone nearby.
"Guys slow down, you're making too much noise!" Katy tried to whisper loud enough for the others to hear.
Before they could reply, the Killer jumped out from behind them and grabbed Katy's arm. She immediately tried to hit their side and knocked them off her hand before the Jacob and Will grabbed her and ran back out onto the path. The Killer ran after them but after a few moments, they noticed they were after Katy. Will realised it was because she was the least injured, and decided to shout to her one word:
"RUN"
Katy ran down the path, moving to the side every so often to try to get the Killer off her tail. She did this until she found the queue for Wild One, she immediately jumped over the fence and ran through the queue. She ducked down into the ride train, thinking the Killer didn't notice her running into the queue. She waited a few moments until she raised her head and right in front of her was the Killer. They grabbed her hair and pulled her up before she smacked them in the face. She was free and the only place she thought of going to get away was up the lift hill for Wild One. She made a break for the lift hill and began running up it, quickly followed by the Killer.
Once Katy reached the top, she took out her phone to see she had a faint signal but before she could make a call, the Killer pushed her and caused her to drop her phone through the rollercoasters structure. Katy began smacking, punching, kicking, anything she could do to keep the Killer off of her until she let her guard down for one moment where the Killer pushed their knife right through Katy's stomach. Katy froze as she realised she was stabbed and began bleeding out. The Killer pulled the knife back out and stabbed her stomach again, twisting the knife as they did, then they pulled it out a second time. This time, they plunged the knife right through her neck, and pushed her lifeless body off the knife as she fell down Wild One's first drop.
Janine and Aaron walked down the crumbling pathway, with around two feet distance between them. They were silent, they both had their minds occupied about separate things.
"You didn't react when I said we're over." Muttered Aaron.
"That's because we're stuck in an amusement park with a murderer who could kill us at any moment, I feel like our relationship is the least of our worries at the moment." Replied Janine, in a tone that Aaron couldn't distinguish. Somewhere between annoyed and dismissal. They began walking over the bridge where Liam, Katy and Sean were attacked. They noticed Liam's blood on the railing and they decided to look over to see a hand and wrist on the surface, with Liam's watch strapped onto it. They found Liam's body.
Aaron was in shock at the sight of another one of his friends bodies, he didn't know what to do, he couldn't even move. Janine stared at Liam for a moment before snapping back and trying to coerce Aaron to keep moving.
"I know it's difficult but we need to keep moving, whoever did this to him could still be near and we need to get the plan going." Said Janine, her words not enough to get Aaron to move.
"Do it for Liam and Sam, we can't let them die in vain, let's go." She said, trying to be more compassionate, and this time it worked. Aaron began moving, but only when Janine helped him to.As they walked, Aaron's hands were trembling and he couldn't speak. All he could do was let a few tears leak from his eyes. Janine tried to help him but it was no use. Finally, Janine put her foot down and turned to Aaron.
"You can't do this now, we have stuff to do. We can grieve them once we're out and alive. Now's not the time." Said Janine in a demanding tone. This seemed to break Aaron out of his trance as he said:
"How can you say that?! Two of our friends are dead and we could be next yet you're acting like it's nothing! You're heartless Janine Sayward!"Janine, without saying a word, turned around and began walking to the back of the park with Aaron behind her. They walked back to the Ferris Wheel were they tried to avoid looking at Sam. Once their target was in their eyes, they stopped moving and looked up. The Observation Tower was in front of them, looking over them as if it was a giant and they were just specs of dust.
All Aaron and Janine had to do now was wait until Sean turned off the music to get their plan into action. They proceeded to run into a nearby toilet block, hid in a cubicle, and waited.
Sean was pacing up and down the entrance plaza, waiting for the right time to initiate the plan. He kept thinking to himself that he was going to survive and that he was going to be able to see Liam again, and to finally go on a date with Will. Eventually he got tired of pacing and sat by the edge of the fountain, contemplating whether he was going to live or die.
"What if this is it?" He said to himself.
"What if this is the night I die? I won't ever get to see Liam again, I won't ever be able to go see all the things I want to see. I'm scared, I don't want to die." He said with a trembling voice. He then noticed he was still holding the metal pole and then, in a slightly more confident tone, said:"I'll be fine."
He waited a few more minutes in silence before walking over to Sam's speaker, reaching his hand out, and stopping. He hesitated to turn the music off as turning it off revealed his position immediately. He thought about it, closed his eyes and before he could change his mind, he turned the speaker off. Silence fell over the park once more. Sean began to panic and ran into a nearby building and hid behind a door that he left slightly ajar.
The plan had commenced.
