Aaron kept running down the cracked pathways of Finny's Funland, getting slower with every step as the adrenaline wore off. Eventually he stopped and almost fell to the floor as he tried to catch his breath. He saw he was getting close to the entry plaza and started staggering towards the unlit entry way, the same song still playing on repeat.

Aaron decided to sneak into one of the buildings down the main path, the one Will and Jacob placed the lights in earlier, to hide and catch his breath. After what felt like an eternity, he heard two distinctive sets of footsteps. He grabbed a piece of metal he found to defend himself, but then he heard a voice he knew all too well.

"We've gotta go back for him!" Sean exclaimed.
"He wanted me to get you to safety, he was keeping that psycho occupied." Replied Katy slowly, taking her longer to figure out what to say as she was still disoriented.

Sean and Katy heard some movement from one of the buildings, but it was only Aaron. He walked out and ran to them, and hugged them. They opened their arms and they all hugged one another. They all felt a moment of happiness until Aaron asked one simple question.

"Where's Liam?"

"The fucker Will told us about, the one that got Sam, they found us. Liam kept them occupied while me and Katy got away." Sean said, in a somber tone.

"That doesn't make sense, that fucker found me, Janine, Jacob and Will. I tried to put up a fight but I eventually just ran. I don't know where they are now." Replied Aaron.

Before they could think any further, they all noticed the silhouettes of three people, all linked together. They then realised it was Janine and Will, holding onto Jacob. Aaron went over to talk to Janine about what happened, Sean helped Jacob with his leg wound, and Will went to see if Katy was ok as he noticed she wasn't completely acting like herself.

"Are you okay? You don't seem right." Asked Will.
"I'm okay." Replied Katy. "I hit my head on the bridge when that person you told us about got to us. They're a killer, they could've got us all!" Katy said before staring to sob.

Sean took off his scarf and ripped a bit off to wrap around Jacob's leg wound. Jacob winced in pain when Sean tied it into a knot, but was still appreciative that he helped him.

"Thanks dude, hopefully I won't die now." Said Jacob with a slight laugh, hoping that his humour would help lift morale, even slightly.

"Oh uh yeah totally." Replied Sean with a small fake laugh, Jacob could instantly tell something was wrong and asked where Liam was.

"He kept that fucker occupied so me and Katy could get away, I don't know where he is now." Replied Sean. He bowed his head down, and walked over to a bench to sit down.

Janine was a lot less emotional than the others. Aaron didn't exactly know how to approach her as he knew she was in her "defensive mode". He tried to talk to her but she didn't reply as she was too busy trying to think of how to get out of the park.

"Don't ignore me, we need to figure out what to do!" Shouted Aaron.
"That's what I'm fucking doing!" Exclaimed Janine in return before walking away to a planter in the middle of the path. Aaron quickly followed her.

"We need to talk. You've been so distant with me lately, I've had enough!" Said Aaron in an annoyed tone.
"Do you think this is the right time to talk about it? We're in a life or death situation." Replied Janine.
"I don't care. If this is the last thing I do tonight, it'll be worth it. We're over Janine, forever!" Shouted Aaron.

Janine didn't show any emotion in return, still preoccupied about figuring out an escape plan in her head. Aaron walked over to Jacob and Sean, checking up on both of them.

"How's the leg?" Asked Aaron.

"Safe to say it's more than a bit sore." Replied Jacob, trying to make a joke.
"Why are they doing this? They killed Sam and hurt both me and Will." Jacob said possibly in a more inquisitive tone than he should've.

"Liam too, he's bound to be hurt if he isn't dead." Said Sean, his voice broke when he finished his sentence.
"Not to mention they technically caused Katy to hit her head on the bridge. They're not gonna stop until we're all dead, we've gotta get out." Stated Sean, still showing his immense sadness in his voice.

"Of course we do, but we're in an almost hopeless situation. Can't get through the gates, don't have phone signal, they're armed and we're not." Janine interrupted.

"There's no ways around it, we're trapped. Some of us are injured so we can't go far." Replied Will.

"You're wrong, we can get out, we just need a plan." Said Janine, with a sliver of hope which the others lacked.

"Go on then, how do we get out of this place?" Said Katy.

"This is an abandoned park, there's stuff all around us we can use to arm ourselves. Aaron found a piece of metal so we all can find stuff. If we get high enough, we can grab a phone signal to call the police. Once they get here, they can break us out. All we need to do is survive long enough so the police can get us." Said Janine, so excited she was gasping for breath by the time she was finished.

"That's great an all, but how high do we have to be?" Replied Jacob, unsure of the plan.

"The observation tower, it's massive. One problem, how do we ensure the killer is away from us when we call the police?" Replied Katy, interested in how the plan would work.

"That fucking song, it's still playing. We can either change it or turn it off to coerce that son of a bitch to the entrance so we can get to the tower. Only thing is... someone is gonna have to turn it off here." Said Janine with hesitation.

"Use someone as bait?! We can't do that!" Exclaimed Katy, hoping no one would want to do the job.

"I'll do it." Sean said quietly.
"My family is all gone, my brother is most likely dead, it doesn't matter if I die."

"No, you can't just do that, it's not fair." Replied Katy.

"It's fine, you guys have to get out. It's fine if I stay here." Said Sean in a defeated tone.

"With that sorted, who's going to the top of the tower? Said Will.

"Well we know Jacob and you can't because of your wounds, and Katy can't because she hit her head so that leaves both me... and Aaron." Janine said in a slightly annoyed manner.

"That's just fucking great, who's gonna do it?" Exclaimed Aaron.

"You are, you're stronger than I am, you'll be able to get to the top quicker." Janine said.

Aaron replied with one word:
"Fine."

"Alright then, the rest of us can hide around the park and then make a break for it when the police come." Said Janine.

Everyone agreed and decided to go their separate ways. Katy went over to Sean, hugged him and let him know he'll always be in her thoughts, and then walked away. Jacob and Will tried to walk on their own before Katy joined them to go hide around the park. They picked up some pieces of metal and wood to arm themselves before walking back into the park. Aaron said a quick goodbye to Sean before Janine joined him and wished Sean good luck with the plan.

Sean was left all alone, the lyric "something tells me somethings gonna happen to you" repeating in his mind. He picked up a metal pole and said to himself:

"I'm not going down without a fight."
