Reflection Of Past (20)

"Stop asking me to trust you while I'm still coughing up water from the last time you let me drown."

*******Evanna's POV******

"Just be quiet and follow me, don't make unnecessary noises-"

"I think you need to tell that to yourself considering the fact that you are the one yelling!" I hiss angrily at the idiot.

"Ok ok, now should we proceed ahead?"

"ugh, lets just get over with this!"

The sky outside was darkened with tranquillity while we were stuck climbing the castle's backside, and dripping wet as 'the idiot' forgot to mention that we would have to go underwater and then climb the castle up, without breaking our goddamn limbs.

King Gaius's kingdom was no fool, it practically follows Gaius on anything he says even if it's about killing and throwing ones child if he or she committed a sin towards the big almighty!

One thing that I had noticed was the black obsidian everyone's doors had, they had been warned and told about our existence.

Obsidian has been fatal to our kind, and Gaius's kingdom is known for its pure quality obsidian.

I looked up to see the Bash had somewhat climbed a little up from the ground and was motioning at me to follow him, but I instead made Free go ahead of me seeing that she is protected in between us.

The castle walls had a little bit of Obsidian, I could smell it radiating out, but since our hands were covered with gloves it couldn't touch us one bit.

Soon after around 15 minutes we made it to a balcony which was barren and only a door was standing in a lonesome manner.

I looked around trying to catch a glimpse of ANYTHING green but failed to do so, " Is this your garden?" I ask with a tilt to my head.

"What? No!! Have some patience women!" He said frustrated as he went ahead and opened the door pushing us all inside and I was blinded by the sudden glow and closed my eyes slowly opening them waiting for them to adjust.

Bright green colored ferns and red hibiscus surrounded me and all i could see were beautiful flowers, purple lilacs and tiger lilies radiated a vibrant un-natural glow.

"this is beautiful" I whispered in a daze still staring at the scene in front of me and I didn't know how many minutes passed away until my eyes decide to search for Bash, "Where is he?" I asked Free as she was levitating with a few leaves dancing around her carelessly as if no one would just like that walk in and see a random girl flying in AIR!

"Free get the hell down! And where did he go?"

"Aw come on" she says with a pout, " He said he has gone to visit his brothers and sisters and also told us to 'make ourselves home' and you should know that if you weren't bussy ogling the garden!"

"Free, I'm pretty sure that if we tried 'to make ourselves home' this castle wouldn't be standing any longer than 5 seconds and get down already! We need to go behind him! For all we know he could be in trouble, he doesn't even know that the castle is full of obsidians, or what if he is going to go and call the guards on us!????" I ask her in a panicky tone as she slumps down, " No way will he call the guards on us Anna! I highly doubt that! Although I second the fact about him not knowing that there are obsidians in here, he might need our help after all"

"Exactly what i- wait what! No!! YOU are not going in there, you stay here guarding our escape while only I go in and get him out, and no dont stop me!"

I say as I run and turn to the long corridor, the halls were quiet and something about that made me uneasy as I stuck to the walls and slowly made my way to where I suppose was Bash's chambers and out of no where my shoulder is bumped hard and I almost fall to the ground if not held by the arms of the person who bumped into me.

And for a second I think that I'm caught and we were all gonna die untill a deep throaty voice spoke up,

"Are you ok?" As he released me.

I looked up and was meet with dark eyes as they searched my face with worry and then widened to an extent as he suddenly stepped away from me and pulled his robe tighter hiding his dark brown hair,

"Sorry" he whispered as he rubbed a hand over his sharp jaw and turned away from me walking in long strides back in the direction he came from leaving me astounded and shocked.

His face, it was familiar to me, but where had I seen it! Those eyes that had started deep into mine had done that before too, but when?!

He was someone from my past, I'm sure of it.

The past that I had left behind, and dwelling on it wont change a thing.

*****Bash's POV*****

I Kept climbing up trying to not slip off of the slippery walls whuch were for some unknown reason slightly burning my hands.

I use to do this so many times and yet I was finding it difficult today.

after about 15 minutes I reached to the top seeing Anna and Free just behind me.

I dust off the weird black substance from my hands and watch as Anna climb in after Free, she looks around in a blank expression before asking with a cute tilt to her head,

" Is this your garden?" and I was taken aback because hey! wy in the world would she think of this- a barren balcony with nothing but dried pots and at manure- to be MY garden!

"What? No!! Have some patience women!"

I frustrated stalked over to the door which led to my garden and pulled it open pushing Anna and Free inside.

and for a second even I was lost in the beauty of it as had not seen it for a while, and also had a satisfying full blown smirk plastered on y face upon seeing Anna's open mouth as her eyes were set in a daze.

"Thank you" said a voice from next to me as I turn and saw Free staring at me with those big grey eyes of hers- and I don't know why but they kind creped me out at times-

"For what?" I asked confused with what she was trying to say.

"For showing her this-" she motioned around "It's truly beautiful, it made her happy, which mostly nothing else but fighting does and Anna hasn't really seen real beauty in a while."

"Well then if that's the case she should often look in the mirror." I muttered softly and then looking at Free making sure she hadn't heard that but she only gave me a smile.

"Umm ok, I'm going to go and search for Noah and tell him that I'm safe, till then wait for me right here, and don't make too much noise seeing as there are guards outside patrolling, make yourselves home!"

she nodded her head softly and as I was about to turn she pulled my hand back and said, "She was betrayed once already, Don't do it again."
