It's Back

"Strange" I said, we talked about what could have happened and thought up our own stories about who. Max and Dustin burst threw the door and ran to the computer.

"Woah, what are you doing?" Steve said moving tapes out of the way so we could see.

"Looking up Eddie's friends phone numbers." Dustin said.

"Oh, Eddie your new best friend who you think is cooler than me because he plays a nerdy game" Harrington said very quickly. 

"Yes, I never said that." Dustin said turning to face Steve.

Robin continued to bug Dustin, "Can you fill them in while I do this?" he said to Max

"Fill us in on what?" I said standing behind her.

"Last night, I watched Chrissy go into Eddie's house. I went back inside and watched TV when it started to get staticky, I got up to fix it and the lights flickered and I heard a scream. I watched Eddie run out to his van without Chrissy." she said staring at the floor as if she was reliving the memory.

"And her theory is that Eddie killed her" Dustin rolled his eyes still looking at the computer. "My theory this that something else killed her."

"Something else?" I asked clueless.

Harrington filled me in on the star mall fire.

"So you think the 'Mind Flayer' is back?" I asked

"Yes" Dustin said. He began calling people to see where Eddie is but no luck, until the last number.

"Really!" he said exited "Okay, Thank you so much bye" he hung up. "Guys I think we have a lead"

He sped over to the computer and started typing in 'Rick' 

"Which one sounds like something a drug dealer would watch?" he said. Robin took over

"This one" the screen read 'Rick Lipton, 2121 Holland Rd. ' 

"That's by lovers lake" Harrington said.

"lets go." I said grabbing Steve's keys.

We all got in Harrington's car and drove to Rick's house. we got there just before sun down and no one was home. we looked around until Max saw the shed door was open. We all went into the shed and looked around.

"Someone was here" Max pointed out the fast food garbage on the table.

Steve found an oar and started poking the tarp in the boat. 

"You think an oar is gonna save us is someone jumps out?" Dustin said. 

"Who knows?" Steve said shrugging his shoulders. 

Just then Eddie jumps out and put a broken beer bottle up to his neck.

"WOAH, EDDIE" Dustin yelled. "It's me, It's me. Dustin, we are here to help." 

Eddie was shaking, he was scared.

"Look, you know Robin and Y/N, and this is Max the one who never wants to play D&D" he said "Steve put the oar down" 

Eddie put the glass bottle closer to his neck.

"Woah, Eddie he's cool!" he yelled again.

"I'm cool man, I'm cool" Steve said pushing his head as far away as possible.

"We are on your side, I swear on my Mother." he said one hand in the air.

"yeah Dustin's Mother" we all said. 

He walked away and sat down against the wall and stared off. 

"Eddie, we just want to talk" Dustin said slowly reaching for the bottle. Eddie pulled his hand away so Dustin wouldn't take it. 

"We wanna know what happened." Robin said kneeling down.

"You won't believe me." Eddie said as he tried to keep the tears back. 

"Try us" Max said. 

I sat down next to Eddie and listened as he explained his story. 

"She just hung there in the air, And um." he took a breath "Her bones started to Snap, and her eyes. It looked like something was in her head, Pulling." he paused. "I didn't know what to do, so, I ran" He looked up at us. "You all think I'm crazy, huh?" he buried his face in his hands. 

"No, we don't think your-" Dustin was interrupted by Eddie.

"Don't Bullshit me man, I know how this sounds" he yelled.

"We aren't" Max said.

"You know how people say Hawkins is cursed? Their not way off" Dustin said and began to explain all on the horrifying things that has happened in this town.

It was morning time and we were on our way to make Eddie a food delivery. We opened the door and Eddie was by the window holding the bottle.

"Jesus!" he said bringing the bottle to his side.

"Delivery service" Dustin said smiling.

Eddie sat in the boat and ate, "so we have some good news and some bad news, which one first?" Dustin said sitting down on a bar stool.

"Bad news first, always" Eddie said taking a swig of his juice.

"Okay, well we know that the police are for sure looking for you. And they are like 100% convinced you killed Chrissy, Good news your name hasn't gone public yet" Dustin said.

"But It's only a matter of time before everyone and there shallow minded mother find out" Robin said looking out at the lake. 

"hunt the freak, Right?" Eddie said, voice shaky.

"Exactly" I said "which is why we need to brain storm how and where to hide you because this ain't cutting it."   

Eddie looked over at me, I saw the fear in his eyes. 

"What if I stayed here with him while you guys figure out what to do that way, he not only has company but someone to cover for him if people find out where he is hiding?" I said looking up and Dustin and Steve. 

"I think that's a great idea" Steve said. We all heard sirens outside and rushed to the window.

"Tarp, tarp!" Robin said ushering him to lay down. 

We watch the police go by we all ran to Steve's car, Eddie Staying back of course.

We drove up the rode and saw Nancy standing talking the the police. When she was done talking she came over and told us what happened on the ride back. They dropped me back off at the shed.

"So, what happened?" Eddie asked as I walked in.

"Someone else was hit, last night." I said sitting down in the boat with him. 

"Who was it this time?" he said looking up at me. 

"Fred Benson." I stated.

He looked back down at his feet, he was overthinking.

"Hey, it's gonna be okay. Your gonna be fine." I said leaning toward him.

I rested my hand on his shoulder, he looked up. 

"I promise." 

A/N- I'm gonna be with my dad for the next few days, so I wont have my computer. I should be back Saturday though. I'm gonna try to make more chapters tonight :)
