Eddie Munson X Reader

Water Gate

It's been about a day hiding out with Eddie. We really haven't talked unless its out the D&D  campaigns we have been apart of. as the day went by it got darker and colder. I've been keeping a look out while Eddie sleeps. He needs it, with all of the stress he has gone threw. Every once in a while I would look over and check on him, but when I looked over for the last time, out of the corner of my eye I saw headlights. They didn't look like Harrington's. 

"Eddie, get up hurry" I said shaking him awake.

He sat up "what?" he said still half asleep.

"we gotta lower the boat, there are people out side and they don't look nice." I said helping him out.

We lowered the boat and got in Eddie use the oar to try to get us out to the middle of the lake quicker but it just drew attention. They heard us out side and swam out to us. we tried to paddle faster but it didn't work, they where on are tail at this point. When one of the boys stopped. That's when he started to ascend into the air. 

"Oh no, not this again." Eddie said we both stood up in the boat. 

I screamed as I saw his bones begin to snap and his eyes sunk in, both of us fell back in the boat plunging into the water. When we came back up the mangled teenager was in the water too. This gave us a chance to swim away while the other kid was looking for his friend. 

Once we got to shore we walked up to skull rock. I sat down my knees pulled to my chest, staring off. 

"Hey, I know that was scary. Seeing some one in that state..." he said sitting down next to me, his arm around my shoulders. 

I leaned into him looking for comfort. "I understand now." I said. I looked up at him, "Why you ran." We sat in silence for a about an hour, until dawn broke again. "I should see if I can get a hold of Henderson." Eddie said moving to get the radio. 

"Dustin, Wheeler?" He called into the radio.

"Jesus Christ Eddie, is Y/N with you?" Dustin said into the radio.

"Yeah" he reported back.

"Are you guys okay?" Eddie looked over at me.

"Nah man, pretty god damn far from okay" he said as he looked back down at the ground.

"Where are you?" Dustin said.

"Skull rock" he said he sat down.

"Hold tight, were coming."he said

Eddie threw his head back, I curled back up into a ball waiting for everyone to get here. 

I heard everyone coming up the trail.

"You just can't admit you where wrong you little butt head" Harrington said.

"I concur, you Dustin Henderson are a total butt head." Eddie stated.

  I peaked around the rock. "Y/N!" Dustin yelled. 

"There is some bad news-" Dustin said. "They think your in on the killings too"

I couldn't believe this, but that was the risk I took. As the group conversated I watched Dustin pace back and forth. "BOOM!" he yelled, It echoed against the forest. "ba-da, ba-da, boom" he then whispered.

"I was right skull rock what North." he spoke.

"Your serious?" Harrington said, "This is skull rock, your totally, absolutely, 100% wrong"

"Yes, and no" he said. "This compass worked correctly when we left the Wheeler's, It was correct when we got in the car on Curly but started to slip the farther east we went. Now its way off, when I was leading us here I wasn't wrong the compass was."

"So your using faulty equipment, dude your still wrong." Harrington stood his ground.

"Except, it isn't faulty. Lucas do you remember what can effect a compass?" he said looking over.

"Any electromagnetic field." Lucas said.

"In the presence of a stronger electromagnetic field the needle will deflect towards that power." he took a breath. "So either there is some super strong magnet around here or"

"There's a gate" Lucas jumped in. 

"We are no where near the lab" Nancy stated.

"But what if, somehow there's a gate we don't know about? It would have to be smaller. Way less powerful." he said

"Snack sized gate." Robin spoke.

"How, why?" I said.

"I don't know, all I know is that something is causing this disturbance and the last time we've seen anything like this it was a gate. And I hope it is cause then we'd have a way to Vecna and a shot of freeing Max from this curse." Dustin began to walk away.

"Hey they are still wanted we can't just go for a hike in the woods." Harrington said

"What say you Lord and Lady Banished?" Dustin Spoke.

"It's stupid, but lets do it." Eddie said. 

We all got up and walked till sundown. "Somethings happening." Dustin said. 

"Dustin would you slow down?" Eddie said trying to keep up. "Whoa, watch your step big guy"

Dustin almost ran right into the water.

"Lovers lake?" I said. 

"Where Patrick died." Lucas spoke.

"When ever the demagorgan attacked it always left a gate, maybe vecna is the same way?" Nancy said.

"Only one why to find out." Steve said

Eddie found a boat and him and Steve lowered it into the water. Nancy, Robin, Eddie and I all got in. Dustin tried too, 

"Whoa you tryin' to sink us. this boat barely holds us." Eddie pushed him out.

"It's my god damn theory" Dustin said annoyed

"Stay here with Max, keep an eye out." Nancy said. "compass" she held out her hand.

He rolled his eyes as Harrington pushed the boat and got in. "What the Hell you guys" he said.

"Sorry." Harrington said.

The compass started going crazy. Harrington decided he need to go down there because he was the only one who could hold his breath for longer that 20 seconds. He jumped in and when he came back up he found it. 

Then he was pulled back down. Nancy went after him and told us to stay.

Robin sat up on the edge of the boat. "Whoa, what are you doing? she said stay" Eddie said

"Yeah, I know" she jumped in 

"God damn it!" he said.

"Well Munson, there's only one thing to do." I said as I grabbed his hand. "follow" I pulled him down with me and we both swam to the bottom. 

Then we entered the gate.
