At the time of Neoma's birthday celebration, the princess of the Sun Kingdom was standing before the town people below her. Wearing her gold ballgown, with pieces of her golden hair falling in front of the white eye patch she wore day and night. She greeted the people below the castle balcony in which she stood, along with the Queen and King that were behind her as she made her birthday speech- that mostly thanked the people of the Sun Kingdom for celebrating this day with her.

The town was filled with decorations and children playing street games all day, meanwhile in the castle, Sol was entering the main ball room where she would be meeting her future husband. As she walked along side her parents, the prince known as Ra stood before the princess. Ra had short blonde hair, a shade away from being the color white, with blonde eyebrows and eyelashes. He wore a red and yellow outfit, with a long gold cape. Ra was known to be one of the most handsome princes throughout the land, but Sol thought nothing such when she was introduced to this man. Prince Ra was an arrogant prince, who respected no one who was not of royalty and thought so highly of himself that he could never love anyone other than himself.

"What a beautiful women you are" The prince reached for Princess Sol's hand to kiss, but she pulled back before he could touch her.

"Do not touch me" Princess Sol said in a repulsed voice. The queen was shocked from what the princess had just done in front of his family.

"Sol, please" The queen tried to apologize on the princess's behalf but the prince cut her off.

"No need to apologize" The prince bowed to Princess Sol, "I am in no rush to kiss my wife" Once the prince said this, Sol turned around and walked out of the ballroom, where the meeting was taking place.

Unlike the prince who knew he would be marrying the most beautiful girl in the land, the princess did not feel the same way. She did not think of Ra as a handsome man or even one she could possibly come to love one day.

Queen Krya followed her daughter out of the ballroom as Sol ran upstairs to the roof of the sun castle.

"Sol" The queen opened the door to the outside of the rooftop where the princess was standing looking down at the village, "I know this is hard for you but as the Princess of the Sun Kingdom and future Queen, there are things that are expected of you. Like, to marry a prince and keep the kingdom in order" Queen Krya had on a long bright yellow ballgown along with her crown that was aligned with diamonds and in the center, a big yellow jewel, the same as Neoma's jewel she was wearing around her waist.

"So marrying a prince is expected of me?" Sol turned around facing her mother, "To marry some man I do not even know? How will that keep our kingdom in order? I can run the Sun Kingdom without a man by my side."

The queen was shocked by the words she heard, for these words reminded her of her younger self. Instead of speaking against these daunting words said by her daughter, Queen Krya gave her a disappointed look, then walked back down the stairs after telling Sol to re-join the party that was being put on for her.

The celebration went on for the rest of the day, cake was served in the castle's ballroom as those of royalty danced around to the music that was being played. The day was coming to an end and the sun was about to set. As the Queen and King were distracted by saying their goodbyes to their guests, the Princess was on a side quest to steal the keys that locked her up in the room her mother forced her to sleep in each night. Princess Sol hurried off to the Queen's bedroom, she ran up the stairs that lead to the third floor of the castle where her mother's bedroom was. Searching through her drawers, instead of finding a key, Sol had found a small silver box and when she opened it, there was a dead flower and a sapphire blue gemstone.

"Sol, what are you doing up here?" The princess quickly hid the box she had opened behind her back as the queen opened the door to her room where Sol was. "You need to go to your room, the sun is setting." Queen Kyra suspiciously looked at her daughter, "What is behind your back?"

"The moon" Princess Kyra murmured, "Why can I not see the night sky? Why do I have to cover my eye? Why is it a different color? For years I have not questioned you, but you're hiding something from me mom" Sol placed her hand that was holding the box in front of her, so her mother could see, "A stone the color of the eye you force me to cover? And a white dead flower?"

"What are you doing with that?!" Queen Kyra said fiercely, "How do you even know the name of the flower? Give me the box and go to your room!" Sol stood before her mother holding the box.

As Sol began to walk out of the room the queen grabbed her arm, "And where do you think you are going young lady?"

"I am leaving mother, if you won't tell me the truth then I will search for it myself" Sol pulled her arm away from the queen.

Her mother yelled at her as she ran down the stairs heading for the front gates of the castle. As princess Sol was running to the front gates, she ran into her servant friend, Mary who was outside, in the front courtyard, "Princess, where are you heading? The front gates are guarded" Mary grabbed Sol's hand and began to run to the side brick fence that was surrounded by trees, "No one can see us here, step on my hands, I will lift you up."

Sol smiled at her friend, "Thank you for helping me Mary, but we must hurry. I do not want you to get in trouble" Mary squatted down holding her hands together as the princess stepped on them, the servant stood up and Sol grabbed onto the top of the brick fence that surrounded the Sun Castle. Before hoping down to the other side, Sol looked down at Mary, "I promise I will come back one day and be the queen!"

Princess Sol ran to the stables where the horses stood, after she took the golden horse, she rode through the Sun Kingdom, wearing the same beautiful gold ball gown and a silk gold head piece that she covered her face with. The heals of the horse clicking as they hit the cement, the villagers turning their heads towards her as she rode the horse down the hill of the town. The sun was setting and the moon would soon be shining bright in the clear dark night sky. The tall green grass swayed back and forth from the light breeze. The dark forest standing right before Sol and behind her stood the Sun Kingdom, from a far she could see the castle that stood on the top of the hill, above the sea. Sol looked up at the night sky as the new moon appeared above her, along with the millions of shining stars across the dark night sky.

Sol climbed off the horse, "The night sky" Sol said as she looked up at the moon, "Why did I wait so long" Sol placed her hand on her white eyepatch, "Mother, what are you hiding" The princess pulled her eyepatch off and threw it on the grass. Her sapphire blue eye sparkled as she looked at the new moon, "What?" Sol looked towards the dark forest, there was a sparkle that glistened. She looked back towards the castle hesitating on what to do then turned towards the woods. "Go back to the castle" She said to the horse, who then began to run back towards the town.

Slowly walking through the howling woods, each step Sol took, the moonlight seemed to be guiding her somewhere. Walking through the night, the princess was holding her long dress from dragging in the dirt while keeping alert of her surroundings. Sol stopped walking, in front of her- beyond the tall trees was a patch of sparkling flowers and someone standing there, looking up at the night sky- the only spot in the forest where no trees stood.
