"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU BROUGHT HOME A BAT?!?!?!?!? Y/N, DOES THIS APARTMENT SAY PET BAT FRIENDLY????? HAVE I BEEN GIVING YOU THE VIBES TO BRING HOME, A FREAKING BAT!?!?!?!?!" Bucky screams, mostly out of confusion after you explained what happened on your walk earlier that day. "I don't see what the big deal is Bucky, she needs a home and someone to take care of her, I found her so why can't I be the person to take care of her??? How can you look at her precious little face and not want to keep her??? She's so cutee!!!" You giggle as you smile at the bat lovingly, you beam seeing the bat curl up against the carrier in her sleep. "Y/N, we can't keep a bat in this apartment." Bucky sighs and shakes his head while pinching the bridge of his nose. "Why not?? You can't kick the baby out, she needs a home, I already bought the meds she needs and put her in our household at the vet, they asked a bunch of questions and well, I said she lives here after I found her so she can't leave now, get used to seeing her flying around the apartment!!" You snicker and grin then walk to your room, you smile as you set the carrier down on your bed and look through your closet, you find a show box then grab a few cloths and put it in the shoebox nicely, making a temporary home for the bat, you smile as you open the door carefully and take the bat out then set it in the box, you smile softly and place another cloth on top of her to tuck her in.

Bucky had walked in and watched quietly, he smiles a bit seeing how protective and caring you are for the bat you had just met. "If you promise to take care of it-" "Her!!!" You narrow your eyes at him, he snorts a bit and sighs before continuing. "Sorry, if you promise to take care of her no matter what, we can keep her." He half smiles then snorts when you hug him tight. "Of course I'll take care of her dummy, she's a baby!!!!!" You grin then sit on your bed and look up on Amazon some things for the bat, your eyes shoot up and look at Bucky. "What am I gonna name her???" "Well uh, why not Elvira? I mean she kinda looked like a bat right?" "I'm not naming a cute and precious bat after a tall gorgeous woman, a cute baby needs a cute name!!" Bucky snorts and sighs then shrugs. "Not sure then Doll, I'm sure you'll think of something, I'm gonna go bat proof everything." He hums as he walks out, leaving you alone with your thoughts and the sleeping bat.

After another hour or so of looking up names for bats and other items she would like, you jump up at the thought of the name, you smile and grin before picking up the shoebox carefully and setting it on your chair before walking out to find Bucky. "I thought of the name for her." You smile and hum, Bucky turns his attention to you and tilts his head slightly. "Oh ya? What'd you name her?" "Maggie, for Peggy, bet Steve would love the name." You snicker and chuckle, he grins at the name and nods. "That's definitely a good name, think there are collars small enough for her? Could get her one of those tags with her name on it, would be cute." He hums then grabs his phone and does a google search, he pulls up a website then hands his phone to you so you can pick one. As you scroll through the site, you both hear a small high pitch squeak coming from your room, you get up and walk inside your bedroom and smile seeing Maggie awake and crawling around the shoebox, you walk over and pick her up gently then bring her to the living room.

"How cute is she?!?!?! Come on, you can't tell me you don't love her already, look at this tiny face!!!" You gush and pout at how precious she looks, Maggie just looks slightly confused while looking around the room, Bucky chuckles a bit then reaches his hand out so she can smell him and take in his scent, Maggie grins then bites his finger, causing him to yelp and snort. "She just bit me!!" "You had it coming, how could you just hesitate on saying how cute she is????" Bucky snorts and grumbles a bit. "Feed her, I'm going to order us some food, what are you in the mood for?" "Pizza!" You grin, he hums and nods then heads to the kitchen and grabs a pamphlet and calls the pizza place.

You and Maggie spend the next two months tormenting Bucky with stupid pranks, mostly redoing a few pranks from the Office like putting his stuff in jello, and a few other pranks, a few times Bucky has caught Maggie faking her death with a broom after watching the flying squirrel. Bucky walks into the living room and catches Maggie doing it again, he just stands and watches, wondering when she'll learn it won't work, he sees you then grabs your hand and pulls you into his chest and turns you around so you can watch. "Oh, she's doing it again." You snort and sigh before turning in his arms, he looks down at you and grins. "Someones just gonna have to tell her, and seeing how she's YOUR pet, you can tell her." He snickers then heads to his room, you scoff and grumble a bit then walk over to Maggie. "Sweetie, munchkin, dumbass, you've tried this 3 times in the past week, stop trying to fake your death, let's watch some tv instead!" You grin then scoop her up and plop onto the couch, your turn the tv on and get comfy, you put on some cartoons.
