Chapter Five: Kissing In The Rain

'Knock, Knock, Knock'  'Hallie and Ally, you're both gonna be late for school!' Omg, i rushed over to Ally and nudged her to wake up, 'Ally, we've overslept'  'Omg, really?!'. 'Yeah!' Me and Ally got up out of bed, got dressed and quickly ran downstairs making time for breakfast, I had to check my blood sugar, so i could choose what to have for breakfast. We had like 20 minutes left to eat breakfast and then get my mom to pick James up then drop us all at school before 9am. I had planned to go Starbucks too. But that looks like that aint happening now. So 8:45 was approaching, me and Ally rushed out of the door, my mom was waiting for us, in the car on the drive. Ally had text James to let him know we were on the way. James got in as we pulled up on his driveway. We got to school, just in time at 8:55am. 

*Ring, Ring, Ring* 

The bell rang for end of school, My mom picked me and Ally up, James' mom picked him up as he was going to a cousins birthday, me and Ally got home and we decided to get dressed and go visit Riley in hospital. We got to the hospital. We went into Rileys room on the cancer ward, and aww he was asleep, he looks so cute when he sleeps. Ally went to get Starbucks as me and mom waited by his side, for him to wake up. 

Ally brought in our drinks and Riley had woken up, he grabbed my hand and squeezed it tightly. He looked at me, he said he good news. He took his time, but that was acceptable as he was suffering with cancer afterall. He took off the breathing apparatus, and said, 'I have some good news' . My face lit up to the sound of that, i was intrigued to what he was going to say next. He turned to me ago and was like  'Okay, so the doctors said i can go home for a few days, but my family are away for a while, so i need somewhere to stay, if i'm going to be allowed out of here, but i have to take it easy still though'. 'Omg, you can stay with us, if you'd like, that way i'd be able to take care of you too' 'That'd be great, if that is  alright with you Mrs. Cooke' 'It sure is, anything you need, we're here for you, okay?' 'Aww, thankyou Mrs. Cooke' 'So, Riley when can you go home?' 'Ermm... I've still got to double check, but today hopefully' 'Yay!' Me and Ally cheered and we're over the moon! 

So my mom pulled up the car at the front of the hospital, we gathered Riley's belongings and helped Riley get packed to go. So Ally carried Riley's belongings down to my mom, and got in the car waiting for me and Riley to come down. I called for the nurse to grab a wheelchair for Riley, i wouldn't allow him to walk on his own, unaided yet. Plus, if its there you may as well use it. 

*Several minutes later*

We talked some, Riley making me laugh too much, gave me butterflies and then the nurse eventually came round with that wheelchair i had asked for. I helped Riley up into the chair, attached his coat onto the handles and pushed him to the lift and got in. 

*Ding, Dong*

We got to the ground level of the hospital, He got out of his chair for a minute, stood up and said 'thankyou for everything you've done for me, we'll both take care of each other from now on, yeah?' 'Sshh you, stop being silly! Of course ill be here till the end!' Next minute Riley leans in and passionately kisses me, its raining but who could care right now, i was on cloud nine! We hugged for a while till my mom was like 'Come on love birds, it's raining!' So, Riley sat back down and I pushed him towards the side of our car. My mom got out and helped me lift Riley and help him into the car. He said he was a little fragile today, but he'd be alright! We took his word for it, and drove home. My mom helped Riley out the car and upstairs whilst me and Ally carried his belonging upstairs. We brought the stuff upstairs, and Riley was sat on my bed waiting for us both. Ally and my mom, was checking Riley was alright. I asked to be alone with Riley whilst my mom and Ally went to make tea.

Me and Riley sat on my bed, where we just lay and chatted for a while letting the time pass by and not even realising. Riley was make me giggle so much i had butterflies again. Next minute, My mom shouts me and Riley down to dinner, Riley claims he's feeling better now, he manages to walk unaided to dinner. We all sit down to spaghetti bolognaise, which happens to be Riley's favourite! Riley's face lit up as he saw it. After dinner, me and Riley went upstairs to watch a film together, unfortunately we both fell asleep together, Ally and my mom walked in later on to find we fell asleep, Riley on the left, Me on the right with my head resting on his chest. I knew this was the start of something new! 2013 could be the year for me. I fell asleep, thinking of what happened today, with what happened with Riley kissing me in the rain. He was the one fo' sure. I should sleep well tonight with Riley by my side.

Writers Comment: So, i don't like to put Riley in this situation or the thought of this illness, as i hate cancer myself, kills innocent people, i just wish it never existed!
