Chapter Fourteen: Another Side To You

Me and Stephy were okay now.

Everyone fell asleep downstairs, after all the dancing. 

I woke up next to Riley, I went to find Toby. I wanted to go for a walk to Starbucks before everyone woke up, so therefore i was gonna ask Toby to come walk with me. I went to his room, and he wasn't there. 

8:56am and Toby was not in his room, nor downstairs, this seemed a little strange. 

Toby was no where to be found.

I crept out of the house grabbing my cell of the side, to go see if I could find him, taking Captain and Tank with me.  I was strolling along, it was quite bright out but very cold though. Luckily, i brought my coat and scarf. 

I looked for Toby at the park, incase he wanted to take a breather, he would usually be there but he  wasn't there. I walked to Starbucks, incase he had the same idea as me, but unfortunately he didn't. I walked out of Starbucks, leaving the drinks to later. Toby was more of a priority right now. 

Captain started barking at something, i thought it was nothing so i moved on, but then all of a sudden. I found Toby lay there on the floor. I ran over to him. He lay there on the ground. He had a black eye and a busted lip. 

'TOBY!!!! OMG TOBY ARE YOU OKAY??' 

'He murmered' 

I rang Riley. 

'Hey, Riley ermm can you go to my car and grab my first aid kit, and can you meet me and Toby on 716 Stretson Street, just off Edgewater Drive? I'll explain to you when you get here' 

'Sure, okay i won't be long' 

'Toby, who did this to you?'

'I got jumped, okay?'.

'Omg, are you alright?'. 

'Yeah, I guess'

Riley pulls up around the corner. Him and Connor get out of the car.

'What are you both doing here? Woah! Toby little bro, are you alright, what happened?' 

He handed me the first aid kit, whilst Toby was explaining to Connor, what happened. 

'Do you know what they look like?' 

'Yeah, they were wearing black hoodies and jeans, with green and red high tops, i didnt get a glimpse of their faces though'

'I'll be right back!' Connor said running off.

'No, Connor leave it, it's fine' Toby shouted, but Connor was totally oblivious and kept running.

Connor had now vanished. Riley dropped us off home, then went to find Connor. 

We had a call, from the police, after being home for only 30 minutes.

Stephy answered the call.

'Hi, mamm this is Orlando, Police Department. Sorry to bother you but we would like to inform you, that Connor McDonough has been arrested for assaulting two men, if you could come down to our station, that'd be great. Thanks for your time mamm'.

'Thanks' 

STEPHYS POV:

Omg, what had he done. 

Hallie rang Riley, and he made his way there to bail Connor out. 

RILEYS POV: 

I put the phone down to Hallie, and headed straight towards the police department. 

'Dude, what was you thinking? Mom&Dad are gonna go crazy if they find out, as you're the oldest afterall'.

'I was  looking after my little brother'.

'He said to leave it bro, lets just go home'. 

We got in the car, it was a silent and awkward ride home. We hadn't talked since i bailed him out.

Stephy was gonna go mad at him i could just tell. 

We got home, he got out slammed the door and went inside the house. I soon followed grabbing a few things out of the back of the car. 

CONNORS POV: 

I was defending my brother, isn't that allowed anymore. Yeah, okay so i have a little bit of regret for my actions. I knew mom&dad were gonna go mad. 

'Connor, a word please', Mom, shouted me into the kitchen. I knew it wasn't gonna be good. 

'What were you thinking?' Mom, raised her voice a little. 

'You're lucky they didnt put on your record' Dad interuppted. 

'I was thinking, that Toby was my little brother and I had to look after him'.

'What is wrong with everyone, I was only looking out for him'. 

'Connor, don't talk to your mom, like that' 

'I'll talk to my mom, however i want, thankyou very much' 

I stormed off, and kicked the wall. Damn i kicked the wall hard. I was in agony but i left the house and got into the car. Stephy followed, calming me down. She took a look at my foot, it didn't look right. She said it looked broken. 

 She swapped seats with me and she drove me to the hospital to get it sorted out. 

The doctor said, it was broken. I was given crutches and we headed home. 

I got through the door, my mom&dad were still annoyed at me for my back chat. 

I tried avoiding them, but i had to speak to them sometime. 

I went to my mom, first of all and apologised.

She was understanding and she noticed my foot was in a cast and checked if i was okay. 

'Yeah, i'm okay, it hurts though' 

'I've gotta go work now take care yeah? If you need anything you can reach me on my cell, but Stephy said she'll help you with anything you need'.
