Chapter Four: Better Believe It

Patiently waiting to see if Hallie was okay, James went back with Hallie's mom to choose some stuff that she may need. I went down to Starbucks on the lower level to get a frappuchino, I had got my frappuchino and went back up to the ward that Hallie was on. She was still unconscious at this moment. No one would tell me what was going on so I was constantly worrying as Hallie is my best friend after all! I was hoping it was nothing serious. Sat at the side of Hallie, hoping she would be conscious soon, just talking to her about our memories that we had. *30 minutes later * she woke up and the doctors had said when she was awake she would have to go for a CT scan to see what was wrong with Hallie. So they gave me 10 minutes to see if she was okay, but she was still a little faint they then took her into the CT scan. Hallie's mom and James hasn't came back yet, I had to wait in the waiting room, which was pretty boring staring at the same walls for ages wondering when the scan would be over! A cute handsome guy comes along and sits next to me, he looked really upset though. I got up to ask a doctor what was going on with Hallie but they just blanked me and walked off as if I was a little crumb no one cared about. At this point i was annoyed, I sat back down and the cute guy who was sat next to me said to me 'I don't like hospitals either, the doctors never pay any attention to you, best thing to do is hope for the best' 'Yeah I guess' I replied, he said he had to go and that's when a doctor had told me what was happening with Hallie , finally! So they told me that she was okay and that the scans show she is diabetic! Well I wasn't expecting that at all, wow what a surprise what do I do know? Do I help her? Do I tell her mom? Do I have the right to I mean? My emotions are all over the place! How do I tell her she will have to inject insulin in her for the rest of her life? Doctors tell me I can go and see her now, truth is i'm scared if she asks me, but her mom and James just walked through at this moment so I guess that eases it a little. I take Hallie's mom outside of the room she was in, and told her about Hallie's scan results. She was just as shocked as me. She broke it to Hallie and I took James out of the room as it was early days for him to know as of yet. I spotted that guy again who I was sat next to in the waiting room. He was in a room on the same ward next door to Hallie's room, I thought he was just visiting someone? I looked on the door and it said cancer ward from this point, I thought poor soul! He was visiting everyone on the same ward i wondered if he would bump into Hallie? It was time for me,James and Hallie's mom to go home now, Hallie seemed alright the had given her the kit she needed but to help her out they was helping her work it all. That explains why she was faint and kept passing out! Hallie text me telling me that a cute guy named Riley had came to see her in her ward, this is when I was thinking, was it the same guy i had saw. She said he was really nice and that I should meet him. I really wanted to. I went back the next day and we were introduced, he was like 'I saw you the other day but we didn't get a chance to meet properly' 'oh yeah, I remember' *20 minutes later* 'well its nice to meet you I best be going back next door back for my chemotherapy i'll see you guys later yeah?' 'Yeah for sure!' So, Hallie stayed in hospital for over a week to get used to the insulin pump and injections, she was getting along really well with Riley too, she was getting better as well but she would still have diabetes for the rest of her life. Riley had beaten his cancer which was great news! So Every evening, Riley had came to come and see Hallie all the time she was there, on Thursday evening, Hallie text me saying that Riley had gone to see her like normal,but he asked her a very important question, which left her full of joy and relieved, however, she didn't know him that well? So, Hallie said i don't know yet as it is early days. Riley at this point was disapointed. He hadn't came round this evening to visit Hallie as usual, i think it was cause he was partly upset as to being rejected by Hallie. She was upset too, she had no one to talk to, she re-thought about what Riley had asked her. Two days later, she finally got the guts to go see Riley and she whispered in his ear saying 'is your offer still on the table?' 'He replied 'only if you want to accept it' 'Of course i do, silly, at the time i was put on the spot, out of the blue but, you are a generally nice guy and i think i could work' 'Lets go for it' 'Yay!' She text me and was so overwhelmed! I felt really happy for her. Hallie was hopefully going to come home soon, her mom had asked if i could move in to their house to help out if Hallie had needed anything as i'm always with her anyways, I didn't really have the best relationship with my parents anyways, i had always wished Hallie's mom was my mom, because she was so nice! I agreed, and my parents agreed too, I think they were actually glad for me to go. I let James know too, so that if he had ever needed me, i was at Hallies living there from now on, i always wanted to live with Hallie. I was over the moon, James helped me move my stuff in immediately, everything was going alright so far... with me moving in, Hallie getting better, Hallie and Riley now dating, James found himself a special someone! :)   Writers Comment: So this chapter does introduce someone new, let me know what you think of the chapter/s and please like and comment.
