Chapter Eleven: Baby when our life gets colder I'll be your soldier

Hallie had been brought back round to her ward, she was conscious now.

Riley was sat in the room with her, talking to her about the whole crash, and how much he loved her.

Stephy was okay now, she still had a sprained ankle and a broken wrist, she was given crutches for her sprained ankle and a cast for her broken wrist.

She was now being discharged but hung around, with Connor to make sure that Hallie and Riley were okay.

CONNORS POV:

Me and Stephy decided to go in and check on Hallie and Riley.

'Hey, you two, how are you Hallie?'

'I'm okay i guess, thanks'

'That's good'

'What did the doctors say, about what happens now?'

'They have to keep monitoring me regularly, to make sure i havent got anymore problems'

'So, when can you leave, this place?'

'They said, in the next hour hopefully'

'I need to go toilet guys, i won't be a minute, yeah?' Hallie said.

Hallie got up from the hospital bed and slowly went to the toilet.

We started talking about how good it was that both Hallie and Stephy could get out of hospital and we could soon go home.

*Crash*

Hallie fell to the ground and Riley ran straight to her.

'I need a doctor, quick!!!!!'

Doctors came rushing over and immediately got her up onto a stretcher.

HALLIES POV:

i just collapsed, passed out. What was going on with me?

Riley held my hand and as the doctors helped me up onto the stretcher, i knew it wasn't going to be good news.

The doctors came into the room, 'Hallie can we speak to you in private please?'

'Ermm sure, but can Riley stay?'

'Yeah, but only him'.

Me and Stephy had to leave the room.

We both stepped outside and we were stood peering through the glass, desperate to know what was going on.

'I'm afraid Hallie you wont be leaving until we've spoken to you'

'What, do you mean?'

'Unfortunately we rechecked over your scan results and we missed something vital, you have a heart condition called arrhythmia.

On top of your diabetes you now have this condition this is why you collapsed before.

It too will also have to be monitored, im sorry to tell you this, we are going to give you some medication which needs taking twice a day.

Just to keep your heart at a regular heart beat, but you can be discharged soon'

'oh, okay'

Riley sat there in shock, and I was just shocked i had to stay on medication, to keep my heart at a regular heart beat'

Riley left the room for a minute to go tell Connor and Stephy.

I was packing up my things, when Steph's dad had came into my room with my mom.

'Mom?'

'Hey, Hallie how are you doing?'

I told her about the heart condition and that I could soon be discharged.

'Okay, i'll help you with it all, and thats greats news!'

'This is your dad, which you've never met i believe. Steph's dad?'

'Hey, nice to finally meet you'

'Yeah, you too'

'I guess we will be spending more time together and getting to know each more'

'Yeah'.

My mom and dad left the room and headed home.

I gathered my belongings and went to go see Riley, Connor and Stephy in the corridor. I collected the medication and got discharged.

We then got in the car, and headed home, Connor was driving, he said probably best not for me to drive just yet, so Steph sat in the front with Connor.

Me and Riley sat in the back, he held my hand and kept smiling at me, he kissed me on my forehead.

After ten minutes Me&Riley had fallen asleep, I was so shattered. Riley had hold of my hand still. Connor got out and noticed We were asleep.

He laughed. Connor then ran round the back grabbed Stephy's crutches she was given to help her sprained ankle and helped her out of the car.

Me and Riley were still in the back of the car, Connor helped Stephy in then, came back and woke us up.

Stephy said we looked cute together asleep. Connor agreed.

He woke Riley up who gave me a little nudge and a kiss on my forehead and we got out and headed upstairs.

Riley kissed me and then we both just fell asleep on the bed.

Stephy and Connor were watching a film downstairs, non stop kissing more like and Mr&Mrs McDonough were out with Toby.

The house was peaceful, what an eventful day it had been.

At least I was now back in the arms of Riley. And all the support of Riley, Connor and Steph!
