The birth of your child. For Maya that was something she had looked forward to regardless the pain she would be in, or the long wait before she would see her son or daughter. But now she didn't know what to expect. Feeling sharp pains 3 weeks before her due date, Maya and Josh rushed to the hospital. Surprised at how far Maya was dilated, she was immediately taken to the delivery room where she would give birth.
"That's it. That's it. Good job."
Maya had fallen down onto the bed, out of breath, and in labor. She looked at the doctor and her fiance standing beside her as she took a deep breath.
"Okay, Maya. I need you to give me one big push," the doctor said as Maya did as she was told.
"You're doing amazing, Love. Keep going," Josh said as Maya gave another push and breathed.
"I can see baby's head. Okay. I think this is going to be the last one. You ready?" the doctor asked as Maya nodded and gave one last push.
Hearing crying noises, Maya had exhaled and looked at Josh. He smiled at her as the baby was immediately put onto Maya's chest and she smiled.
"It's a boy," Josh said as Maya smiled.
"Hello, buddy. Hi," Maya said as the baby kept on crying while he was being cleaned up.
"Hey sweet baby boy. Hi. I'm your mama. He's so big," Maya said as Josh smiled.
"Do we have a name?" the doctor asked as Maya nodded.
"Noah Gabriel Matthews," Josh said.
