"You look like dragon shit."
George looked up from the front counter to his older brother and his fiance with a glare.
"Thanks Bill. Always great to see you."
Bills grin widened and he barked a laugh. "Sorry, lil bro just telling you how it is. I take it Lyra isn't back yet?"
George's mood seemed to sour even more. "No." He said shortly.
Fleur made a noise of disapproval catching George's eye for the first time since the pair had approached him. Her usual charismatic demeanor was nowhere to be found, instead she stood her arms crossed, her lips in the form of a scowl, and her eyes an icy glare.
"What?" George asked as her glare bore into him.
"You are stupid George Weasley." She said her accent tripping over his name. George was taken aback he looked at Bill slack jawed.
"Excuse me?"
"I said you are stupid!" Fleur said again feircely. "Do you need your ears cleaned? Or maybe I ought to knock some sense into you?"
"Alright love." Bill said snaking an arm around her. "Why don't you wait outside hm?"
She clucked in disapproval turning quickly almost whipping George in the face with her hair and walked back to the door. Her heels clicking loudly on the floor.
"What's her panties in a twist?"
"She's not very happy that you are fighting with Lyra right now..." Bill said hinting that he wasn't to happy about it either."I think Lyra reminds her of her sister.... Which means she's become a bit protective of her."
"Lyra told her we were fighting?" George asked trying to keep his tone even.
"No." Bill said watching his brother closely. "But everyone can tell... You two aren't exactly sublte.... I don't think Lyra would tell her anything about it though... Fleur thinks you must of messed up pretty bad if Lyra won't even talk about it."
George let out a breath. "Yeah well it's not as if I haven't tried to patch things up..."
"Mmmm." Bill hummed leaning against the counter. "I'd heard she's been avoiding you."
".... Is she... Is she still at Mum's?"
Bills skepticism softened. "She's in and out. Not sure if she's staying with Tonks or maybe with her parents."
George looked suprised. "Tonks?"
"Yeah. Their quite the gloomy pair... In fact you ought to talk with Tonks..."
"I don't see how she could help."
Bill shrugged and stepped away from the counter and starting back towards the door "I'll tell her to swing by."
George didn't think much of it. Not really taking Bill very seriously. Which is why he was so surprised when Tonks showed up one gloomy evening later that week. Her hair was it's usual muted brown, and she wore dark muted robes.
"If you're looking for Lyra," Fred began "I'm afraid she's not in."
"I'm looking for George." She said looking past Fred to the counter where George sat.
He raised an eyebrow "me?"
"Order business." She said "com'n you'll have to change and we dont have much time, Moody's waiting."
Both eyebrows shot up this time and he shared a look with Fred. "Mad eyes waiting for me?"
"No. Hes waiting for me to bring you to him. Now come on."
