I was in the third grade when I met Eddie Munson. He was my best friend. We weren't the best looking pair but for that year that we attended school together we were unstoppable. And a bit obsessed with each other

Monday 13th December 1978
"Good morning miss applebee." The student greeted as their teacher walking in with a smile on her face
"Good morning boys and girls!" She exclaimed back.
"I have some exciting news for you! Today we have anew student!" The 12 year olds went insane.
"Everybody I'd like you to meet y/n Henderson." My short stubby frame came into view.
Everyone whispered
"Now I'd like you all to give a warm hawkins middle school welcome to miss henderson!" She exclaimed and the class was still quite.
"Uh, Now! Y/n, you will be paired with one of our fine students let's see... your classroom buddy will be...." She searched the room before picking out a rather tall boy with buzzed hair.
"Eddie!" She said with a smile.
Everyone whispered again.
"Now Eddie why don't you show y/n around the school whiles we continue on with our math lesson.!" Applebee told the boy.
My green bag swung hitting my thigh as I walked the halls with Eddie. Every now and then he would stop and say quiet words like "sink" or "cafeteria" nothing much.
"I guess that's it." He said as we got to the end of the hallway.
"Ok." I said annoyed at his lack of welcomness.
"We can be friends if you'd like, I like your bag." He said with a smile and my eyes lit up.
"Really?!" I said happy to have a new friend.
"Of course! Now what do you say we, go play swings." I said
"But what about miss Applebee."
"If she asked anything, you tripped ok?" He said whiles winking at me.
"Ok." I giggled
From that day forward Munson and I had become great friends, that was until my dad left and my mom took me out of school to look after my baby brother whiles she was at work.
I really liked Eddie
Maybe even had a crush on him
Maybe even loved him
He's the only guy that gets me.
But we're just 13 it'll pass.
Eddies POV
I can't believe y/n is gone never to be seen again. I really liked her
Maybe even loved her. But we're just 13 right? It'll pass hopefully.
