Chapter 15 : (ep8) Papa

MAJOR SPOILER WARNING FOR VOLUME TWO!!!

I woke up in a cold sweat.
Eddie was holding me and we were back in the real world.
"Y/n! Oh thank god you're ok." He said and I gripped onto his shirt tightly.
"What happened?" I asked and he sighed
"You fainted, had some sort of weird dream/ panic attack." He said and I sighed heavily again.
I was lying on what seemed to be a couch.
"I saw him, again." I said sitting up and facing the group.
"What the hell are we going to do? Y/n can't keep living like this!" Eddie protested wrapping his arms around me.
"He showed me gates." Nancy said
"Four gates. Spreading across Hawkins. And these gates, they looked like the one outside of eddies trailer, but..they didn't stop growing. And this wasn't the Upside down Hawkins. This was our Hawkins. Our home." She whispered the last part.
"Are these visions you're seeing Nancy?" I asked and she nodded.
"He won't stop taunting us." She said and I looked at the ground.
"Four chimes. Vecnas clock. It always chimes Four times. Four exactly.." I said
"I heard them too." Max and Nancy said in unison.
"He's been telling us his plan this whole time." Max said in a whisper
"Four kills. Four gates. That's why he's trying to kill one of your. End of the world." Lucas said in shock.
"If that's true... he's only one kill away." Dustin said
"Oh Jesus Christ.." Eddie said grabbing my hand.
"It's gonna be me or max." I said shocked
I looked up into maxs eyes.
"Jesus Christ!" Eddie said in shock.
"Try em again, try em again." Steve told Max as she walked up to the phone and rang Joyce.
"Eddie..If anything happens.." I said and he shout up to look at me.
"Nothing will  happen-"
"If! Anything happens. Save Max, not me." I said and Dustin and Eddie looked equally shocked.
"We can save you both!" Dustin protested.
"Save. Max." I said through gritted teeth as max walked back up to us.
"Get anything?" Dustin asked max
"No, rang a couple times and still nothing." She said with a sigh.
"Maybe you punched it in wrong?" Steve said with hope.
"I didn't punch it in wrong."
"We'll, I don't know."
"Dude, I think she knows how to use a phone."  Dustin said to Steve
"I'm just saying she could have typed it in wrong." He said leaning back on the couch.
She rang it again.
"Same shit." She said putting it back.
"How is that possible?" Lucas asked
"I told you, Joyce has this telemarketing job. Always on the phone. Mike won't stop whining about it." Dustin said to Lucas.
"Yeah but, this phones been busy for what three days now? That's not Joyce. Now way. Somethings wrong." Max said
"She's right." Nancy piped up.
"It can't be a coincidence it just cant be." She said as I sighed and leaned into Eddie more and he wrapped his arm around me.
"Whatever's happening in Lenora is connected to all of this. I'm sure of it. But Vecna can't hurt them. Not if he's dead.
We have to go back in there. Back to the Upside down." Nancy said with enthusiasm and I scoffed
"Whoa. No no no no no.what?" Steve said
"Nope." Eddie objected shaking his head as he wrapped his arm around me tighter.
"Let's think this through." Steve said standing up from the couch.
"What is there to think through?" Nancy said starting an argument.
"We barely made it out of there." Steve said in protest
"Yeah, because we weren't prepared. But this time, we will be. We'll get weapons and protection. We'll go through the gate. We'll find his lair, and we'll kill him." Nancy said back and I rolled my eyes.
"When you put it like that-" I started sarcastically.
"Or he'll kill us." Steve said
"The only reason you survived is because he wanted you to." Steve said and I furrowed my eyebrows before leaning in to eddies ear.
"What happened?"
"I'll explain later lovely." He said and I kissed his cheek.
"He's not scared of us."
"And for good reason." Robin butted in.
"We were wrong about Vecna. Henry. One. Sorry. What are we calling him now?" She asked looking around the room.
"Vecna."
"Henry."
"Henry."
"One."
"Bill." I said and everybody furrowed their brows.
"I'll shut up now." I said looking down and Eddie kissed the top of my head.
"Right, we've learned something new about Vecna/Henry/One. He's a number like Eleven only a sick, male, child murdering version of her with really bad skin. But my point is, he's super powerful! He could turn us inside out with the snap of his fingers. It's not a fair fight." Robin exclaimed
"So then why fight fair?" My brother asked and I looked at him.
"You're right HES like Eleven. But that gives us the upper hand. We know elevens strengths. But we also know her weaknesses." He said proudly.
"Weaknesses?" Erica asked not convinced.
"When el remote travels. She goes into this sort of trance like state. I bet the same is true with Vecna." Dustin explained
"That would explain what he was doing in that attic." Dustin said
"Exactly. When he attacks his next victim. I'll bet you he's back in that attic physical body defenseless." Dustin pointed out.
"Defenseless? What about the army of bats?" Steve said and I gave Eddie another confused look.
"Again, I'll explain later." He said and I nodded as he kissed my temple and I shuffled over to sit on his lap and put my head on his chest
"True. We'll have to find a way past them. Distract them somehow." Dustin said
"And uh, how do we do that, exactly?" Eddie asked stroking my hair.
"No idea. But once they're gone, he doesn't stand a chance. It'll be like slaying sleeping Dracula in his coffin." Dustin exclaimed
"That all sounds good in theory, but there is no pattern to Vecnas killings. I mean, not one that I can decipher." Robin pointed out and I sat up.
"I'll be bait." I said and everyone looked at me with wide eyes.
"I'll do it." I said and Eddie shook his head strongly.
"Nope! You're not doing that. You could die Y/n!" He said and I looked back at him.
"I can still feel him." Max said and we all turned to her
"I'm still marked. Cursed. I ditch Kate bush. I draw his focus back to me." She said and now it was my turn to shake my head.
"No! Max you are far too young for this. I'll go. I mean, I can't feel him but I'm sure he will come back. Right?" I asked the group and they all looked down.
"Max. You can't." Lucas protested.
"Yeah you too Y/n." Dustin said and I rolled my eyes.
"He'll kill you both." Lucas said to the pair of us and I nodded agreeing. I didn't want to die.
"I survived before. Y/n only barely survived. I can survive again. I just need to keep him busy long enough so that you guys can get into that attic. Then you can chop his head off. Stab him in the heart. Blow him up with some explosive Dustin cooks up." Max said and I leaned back into eddies chest.
"I honestly really don't care how you put this asshole in his grave. Just... whatever it is..whatever you do.....try not to miss." She said slowly and I rubbed my head with my hand.
"This is crazy!" I whispered to Eddie and he nodded.
"Agreed."

Eddie laid a newspaper out on the table.
"Check this out. The war zone. I've been there once. It's huge. They got everything you need for, uh... well, uh, killing things, basically." He said pointing at the advert on the page.
"Wait what we're you killing?" I asked and he shook his head
"Irrelevant." He said before robin spoke up.
"Do you think fake Rambo has enough guns there? Is that a grenade? I mean, how is any of this legal?" She asked
"We'll lucky for us it is, so.... This..this place is just far enough outside of Hawkins. As long as we steer clear of main roads, we oughta be able to avoid cops and, uh, angry hicks." He said
"If we're trying to avoid angry hicks, maybe we shouldn't go to some store called the War Zone." Erica said and I chuckled.
"Sorry." I said noticing everyone staring at me in confusion.
"Normally, I'd agree, but we need the weapons. So I think it's worth the ricks." Nancy said folding her arms.
"Me too." Lucas agreed.
"But is it the worth the time?" It'll take all day to bike there and back." Dustin pointed out.
"Who said anything about bikes?" Eddie asked
"You got some sort of car we don't know about?" Steve asked confused.
"It's not exactly a car, Steve." Eddie said and I caught onto his plan.
"It's not exactly his car either, Steve." I said and Eddie looked back at me with a wicked grin.
"Hey, red, uh, you got a ski mask or a bandanna, something like that?" Eddie asked Max. He's had to cover his face so people wouldn't be like.
'Omg a murderer!'
She gave him a confused look

I laughed so hard when Eddie whipped his head around the corner with a Michael Myers mask on.
"Eddie, honey, you look so silly." I said laughing my ass off as he held my hand and we ran to a Camper-van.
He opened the window on the far end of the van and hopped in, helping me in after. Everybody hopped in through the the window
"That was suffocating." He said taking off his mask and I giggled following him to the front.
He locked the door.
We sat in the drivers and passenger seats.
He pulled out the wires of to Hotwire the van as Steve and Robin arrived behind him.
"Where'd you learn how to do this?" Steve asked and Eddie rolled his eyes.
"Well when the other dads were teaching their kids how to fish or play ball, my old man was teaching me how to hot-wire." He said cutting some more wires
"Now I swore to myself I wouldn't wind up like he did, but now I'm wanted for murder, and soon, grand theft auto. So uh now I'm really living up to that Munson name." He said as he twirled to wires together and I watched in amazement.
"Uh Eddie, I'm not sure I love the idea of you driving." Robin butted in and I giggled again.
"Oh I'm starting this sucker. Harringtons got her. Don't ya, big boy?" Eddie teased with a smile and I looked at him in aw.
Fuck it he's so hot.
Eddie moved something in the wires and the engine started.
"Hey! Open this door!" We heard the owners yell from outside
"Shit." I said and Eddie grabbed my hand and dragged me to the back as Steve hopped in the drivers seat.
"It's just a car. Everybody hang on to something!" Steve yelled as Eddie pulled me into his lap and held onto me for dear life.
His head was in the crook of my neck.
"Drive Steve drive!" Dustin yelled
"Go go go!" Robin yelled and Steve sped away.
"Go go go go go!" Lucas yelled
"Shit they look pissed!" Dustin said looking out the back window
"Well it's not everyday you lose your hours and your car in one fail swoop." Robin told him and I laughed again but Eddie held on tight to me.
The both of us laughed as we hit some garbage cans and Steve swerved the van heavily.
Then we got to the main road.

It's good to be back baby
