This would officially be the first time Clark has ever got this far with a girl. There had been other moments in his life where Clark barely got along with girls before they ultimately betrayed him and went with somebody else, but nobody made Clark feel this good like Rachel Amber did.

He had a good feeling in his stomach so he dared to take a chance.

It was now or never.

Clark's body language changed ever so slightly that he seemed to lock in his answer for Rachel; something he'd been thinking about for a while now. He couldn't bring himself to maintain eye contact with the captivating girl with beeline honey brown hair as his actions couldn't move as quickly as his thoughts. On the spot, Clark slipped his hands in the pockets of his pants even though the rest of his body was shivering from the cold.

He took so long that Rachel only briefly recessed their eye contact, only to catch him attempting to lean towards her with his eyes shut before pulling away a hot second later.

"Oh." Rachel murmured.

She realised what he wanted and this was also exactly what she wanted from him.

A kiss.

A sweet, sweet kiss.

A heavenly kiss from him.

Slouched, Rachel dropped her shoulders and slowly reached out to grab his wrists and withdraw his hands from his pockets. The silky touch of her skin receded to the back of his hands where he comprehended the physical intimacy she displayed for him.

In that moment, reality turned into slow motion so he could comprehend what was happening to him in that very moment.

Rachel Amber was about to kiss him.

For half a second, Clark was absolutely shocked that his dream was coming true before reality set in and he smiled as Rachel had to stand on her tippy-toes in order to reach his height. She already had her eyes closed before he did when their mouths were inches apart.

Their lips pressed together to involve a slow and passionate enthral. It was like a dance that which their lips snuggled around the other's under the moonlight and the sweet embrace of the other's warmth. As soon as their lips connected, it was total euphoria. Their stomachs performed the wildest somersaults at the same time their hearts raced like the fastest locomotive in the world.

There was reluctancy when they had to pull away, only to shine their reactions under the lamp post light.

"I've been wanting to do that for a long time." Rachel admitted breathlessly.

"Me too, Rach. Me too." Clark replied, only for her to cut him off by pressing her lips against his again.

This time, Rachel moved her hands up to his face so that she could drag him down a bit so that she could balance herself better on the soles of her feet. Her hands caressed his oily skin along his jawline to the sides of his neck where he too felt more relaxed and involved that Clark's hands touched her sides. Rachel didn't mind since she enjoyed the kiss enough that him touching her made her want to explode.

From inside the diner, Joyce spied on her son kissing his date so intimately and with flame that it made her heart flutter that her son had found the love of his life. But at the same time it made her recollect her first kiss with her late husband, William - somebody whom Clark reminded her too much of.

When Clark and Rachel broke apart from their kiss, Rachel automatically formed the biggest smile on her face as she managed to remain composed. Clark, on the other hand, struggled to even cope with the fact that he not only kissed his high school crush, but she'd been wanting to kiss him too.
