Clark was in utter turmoil after the stabbing back at the junkyard.

The overwhelming pressure of what happened stressed him out to a whole new level as he couldn't properly settle, knowing that his girlfriend and one true love was suffering.

After half an hour of having his wound sterilised, stitched and bandaged, Clark was cleared from the emergency room and escorted out to accompany his sister. The brunette was so tired from sitting around for so long that she didn't notice her brother approach until he called her name. In an instant, Chloe shot up to her feet and threw her arms around his neck and squeezed tightly.

"You okay?" Chloe whispered into his ear.

Clark stifled a whimper and sobbed quietly. "No. H-Have you heard about Rachel yet?"

"No, nothing yet. I'm so sorry, Clark."

"Thank you, Chlo. I'm so glad I've got you here with me right now. I need you so much more than you think... I love you."

"I know. I love you too."

Breaking away from the hug, Chloe delicately sat her brother down in the spare seat beside her and sat in dead silence.

When the Amber's caught word of what had happened to their daughter, they stopped at nothing to go and see her at the hospital. But since they arrived some time after Rachel was taken off into the emergency room, there would only be so much time before she would be taken out and left to rest. So when they arrived, they met Clark and exchanged comfort and solace. Nothing else was said when they parted ways where only James and Rose were permitted to go and see their daughter.

The twins became dreary and fell into slumber due to the sheer boredom that was killing them. When they fell asleep, time flew by very quickly to the point that James Amber was able to report to them Rachel's condition.

Upon awakening, Clark jumped up to his feet and addressed James Amber.

"Mr Amber. How is she?" Clark asked anxiously.

"Rachel is going to be alright. The knife damaged her brachial artery, but didn't cut it. She's out of surgery, and now she's resting," he answered tediously. "Thank you for saving my daughter. But I need to know what happened."

"I don't... I don't know. Everything happened so fast. This junkie punk called Damon attacked us with a knife. He said he knew you and he wanted Rachel to tell him everything you were up to."

"Start over and tell me everything. Did you and Rachel try to contact Sera? I'm not going to chastise you or blame you, Clark, but I need to know the whole story."

Clark took a minute to compose himself before he gave his explanation.

"It all started after the talk last night. I was comforting Rachel when she said she was interested in finding her biological mother. So... I told her that I could help. My sister knows this dealer since we thought he might know Sera. But this Damon guy was with him."

"I know who you're talking about. Damon Merrick. He's scum. Merrick wanted dirt on me, did he?"

"He asked us why we were so interested in Sera. W-We didn't say anything. I-I-I promise."

Even when he spoke, Clark was still in shock about what happened; about how horrified he was in coming so close to losing the best thing that ever happened to him.

"Is that how it became violent?"

"W-Well, I was the one who started it - the fight, I mean. He drew the knife on us and when I got a chance, I hit him over the head with a two by four. But that was after Rachel got angry when he wouldn't tell us where Sera was." Clark explained with a trembling voice.
