A few weeks had come to pass since Rachel begun her new life in Los Angeles as a model.

During that time, publishers had worked hard to expand articles about the newly acclaimed model worldwide. It took five days before the articles reached Arcadia Bay.

Clark had finally overcome his loneliness without the love of his life by thinking about the positives in her success while he, still trapped in Oregon, had to weave his way through school in order to find an opportunity that would give himself and his mother and sister - with very slight consideration for David - out of Arcadia Bay.

On a mild Tuesday evening, Clark Price had managed to contact his significant other after much long anticipation for their connecting electronically via Skype. Words could not express the sheer joy he felt finally being able to talk to his girlfriend again. He was completely overjoyed that even Rachel couldn't get over his giddiness and exuberant behaviour.

"... you know, I really, really miss you, babe. LA doesn't feel the same without you - nowhere does when you're not with me: you've been by my side for weeks and I am so grateful to have someone like you in my life. You're all I need." Rachel confessed, heartfelt.

Clark beamed bashfully at the screen as he blew a kiss at her.

"I miss you too, baby. I'm so happy you're enjoying yourself in Los Angeles." Clark replied, sounding gentle and quiet as if he was avoiding waking up an infant in its cot.

Hearing this made her think back to her first night in Los Angeles and how she didn't fail to take the opportunity to fulfil her lust. Rachel froze at the thought, posing a slightly visibly shocked expression on her face.

Clark noticed this and pointed it out verbally by asking whether she was well or not.

She knew that she wouldn't be able to hold this secret back forever as it would eat her up inside about it.

"Yeah. I'm totally fine. Why?" She replied casually, feigning innocence.

It was only just visibly seen that Clark shrugged his shoulders in the webcam.

Normally, they were able to hold stronger conversations, but this time it felt very strange that they felt incapable of finding something to talk about to keep the conversation, until Rachel managed to think of something.

"I just remembered. Guess who's playing at the Forum this Saturday?" Rachel said teasingly.

"Fleetwood Mac's getting back together?" Clark replied with quick wisecrack.

"Ye- No! Firewalk is playing on Saturday!"

"Really?! Oh FUCK YEAH!!"

On Clark's end of the call, there was a distant voice shouting out at him. The voice was instantly recognised as Joyce who shouted at her son for cursing and screaming loudly.

"CLARKSON WILLIAM PRICE, YOU BETTER KEEP YOUR VOICE DOWN UP THERE, YOUNG MAN! AND WATCH! YOUR FUCKING! LANGUAGE!!"

There was a faint snigger from Rachel which didn't go unnoticed by Clark. He heard her laugh but said nothing about it and resumed their conversation.

"You got tickets to the show yet?" Clark inquired. Had he the financial support he needed, he would have gladly paid for the tickets for her but because of his family's financial struggle, he had to mostly rely on both Rachel - leftover birthday money and other methods of payment - and his mother for income.

Rachel nodded her head confidently. "I can manage. Especially with my new job, of course. I could afford a mansion if I save up enough instead of buying all these awesome clothes and make-up."
