The Haters

"I'm jealous of all the people that haven't met you"

"You must have been born on a highway because that's where most accidents happen"

These are all insults I found on the internet

I'm not kidding! I looked up "insults" and clicked on the second link. There I found a page called "Funny Insults - GotLines?" with a caption that read "Insults. Something about sticks and stones and words that never hurt? Well, whoever said that obviously missed all of the good insults. We try and keep it clean around here, but you will find just about everything on this list for your name calling needs."

Under that there are 5 pages of insults, each with about 40 insults on them. For each insult you can give it a thumbs up or a thumbs down, and you can write a comeback in the comments section, which is pretty much just another whole list of insults including a few outliers that read "hilarious" and "So using this tomorrow"

Lets take a moment to recognise the hilarity of this situation. People are going online and looking up insults to use on their enemies. How pathetic is that? They have to do research on how to make someone else's life miserable. If you're going to insult someone, at least be original.

But lets also look at reality. This website, made so people can share their hilarious insults, are giving bullies ammo against their victims. They're not so funny when you're on the receiving end. Words hurt, and these insults are designed to strike hard.

And some of these insults are just incredibly misinformed. Like "You look like something I'd draw with my left hand." What if they are left-handed and a really good artist? That is not incredibly uncommon! Who writes these things, idiots?

Yeah, probably. No one sane posts things online meant to hurt someone they haven't met.
