What does a mirror show?
The part of you that you show to the world?
Or the shrouded part of you
Hidden by black vines that encompass your heart
And trapped by a lock with no key?
Some would say it unveils your secrets
That it uncovers you
In a way no one else could
But a mirror is just a reflection
It is just light bouncing off of objects
And making it's way to your eyes
There is no magic
Just truth
So if a mirror only shows you
What others can see
Does that mean
That the cracks around your edges
And the vines in your soul
Are visible to everyone
But they just choose not to notice?
