A crystal tear drop
Shatters on the pavement
Perfect shards of my soul scattering into the grassI pick up one
And hang it around my neck
A constant reminder of
The things that I want to forgetLike your smile when I teased you
Or your laugh when we had our stupid arguments
Like when you said you liked me
Wanted me
Needed meYou threw your lies up into the air
And watched as the wind tangled them
into my hairBut now they sit there
Always with me
Staining my mind
Stuck in my hair
And I can't wash them outYou saw me today
We passed in the halls
"Nice necklace"
"Thanks"And a crystal tear drop
Shatters on the pavement
