A touch of mascara
A hint of lipstick
A dash of eyeshadow
A dress that fits me perfectly
And some product
To keep my hair
In checkIt should be all in vain
I'm not a sight to see
But I still look in the mirror
And
I
Feel
PrettyA smile comes to my face
My fairy godmother has come
My pumpkin's been turned into a carriage
My rags into a gown
I can wear
To the danceI can walk in there with my head held high
And my heart in my smile
Without being afraid
Of who I am
Because for one night
I
Feel
PrettyAnd I know soon it will have to end
The carriage will become a pumpkin once more
My gown back into rags
My mascara will come off
The eyeshadow will fade away
This night will become dust
As my normal life
Takes control once againBut it's okay
Because
It's
Not
Midnight
Yet********
Yup, this is a happy one. Who would've guessed!
I just wanted to thank all of you guys for reading my poems. 228 READS PEOPLE THATS AWESOME!!!!! I can't thank you enough.
I'm going to be updating a lot in the next few days because I'm graduating soon, and then I'm going to be in 9th grade😁
What I've decided I'm going to do is instead of making a whole new book for Poems of a 9th Grader, I'm going to split this book into sections and call it Poems of a Student. That way I don't have to create a whole nother book and you don't have to add a new book to your library.
Yay!
So that will be happening... When I get around to it, so watch out for that.
Thanks again for the 228 reads! I love you all!!!
