REJECTION

((third person pov))

It was a cool fall evening. The sun shining bright as ever, getting ready to settle into the horizon. Leaves getting ready to fall from their long, wooden homes, and migrating birds arriving in Japan to feel the warmth of the country, contrary to the places up north where they come from. The beautiful sky looked like a perfect masterpiece, with shades of red, orange, blue, and lavender painting the sky. Two girls stand across from each other, the taller one with tears streaming down her face.

"I'm really sorry, Chi-Chi. I just don't feel that way about you."

"B-but Sayaka... I-I could-" The taller could barely talk, choking up on her tears. "I c-could make you happier t-than you've ever been b-before. I promise!"

"I'm sorry."

"Please, Sy, just give me a cha-" Before (Y/N) could finish, she felt the warm embrace of her love's arms surrounding her. Feeling her warmth, she's able to calm down, though, still crying a little.

Sayaka's eyes start tearing up. "I'm sorry about all of this, I really am. I just don't feel like that towards you. I don't think I ever will. I only ever thought of you as my friend. My best friend. I don't want to ruin this because I'm already happier than ever the way this is. I don't want this to change, chi chi."

Sayaka lets go of her friend, both of their faces soaked with tears.

A few years later, Sayaka and (Y/N) have grown slightly apart. Without warning, Sayaka and her parents end up moving to Tokyo. Though not far away from where they originally lived, it's far enough to drag them away even further.

Sayaka becomes more focused on becoming what she's wanted to be her whole life- an idol. She has a group of other girls in her school who perform with her, and they all get very close.

Meanwhile, (Y/N) remains in her hometown. She becomes the best student guitarist in Japan. Her dreams of becoming a famous star start slowly becoming more and more achievable than she ever thought possible.
