It was another June.
This year's summer seemed to have started especially early. It warmed up in May and when it got to June, it was hot as the peak of summer.
Eunwoo helped Jungkook lug the bamboo mats, laboriously making his way up the stairs as he complained: "Jungkook, aren't you in a high-level residence area? Why would the elevator break?"
"What high level, it's just more expensive." Jungkook was also quiet tired.he was carrying more stuff then Eunwoo , his hands holding two bags full of whatnots and two pillows wedged between his arms.
Jin and Moonbin were behind them, their burden lighter than Jungkook . One person was holding a tea set, the other clutching a vase... ...This was the stuff that Jungkook had just brought from the supermarket ... ...
Originally, it had been just a dinner. But upon hearing that Jungkook received his wedding clothes today, Jin and the others wanted to see. So Jungkook unashamedly went to the stores, brought lots of items and made them do manual labor >o
Jin weakly asked: "How much longer?"
"You've come before."
"But I'm already dizzy from climbing."Jungkook raised a hand to wipe the sweat: "Almost there, just two more floors."
"To more floors~~~" Moonbin cried piteously. They pushed on to climb another two floors. When Jungkook opened the door, Jin and the others rolled onto the sofa. Eunwoo stayed lying down, but his eyes moved around the room.
he suddenly said: "Jungkook, when I find a man, you get your Taehyung to help design my home."
"Me too. I like this style that you have here." Jin agreed. This wasn't the first time he and Eunwoo had come to Jungkook's place but each time they came they ritually complimented it.
Jungkook made tea as he replied: "I helped too, why don't you guys ask me?"
"Ha, the parts you designed is the rotten parts."Jungkook felt dejected. It was always like this. Clearly it was his and Taehyung working together on the plan but everybody that saw the place put all the credit on Taehyung.
Ugh~~~Under Taehyung's blinding brilliance, when would he've time to shine?
Moonbin didn't manage to make it the last two times so today was the first time he had come to the place. As the rest of them talked, he had started touring the rooms. This place was a high-end apartment in a residential development called Meson . It was the present that Taehyung's parents had gifted them with when Jungkook and Taehyung got engaged last autumn.
Jungkook had never felt that parents had a duty to buy a residence for their children, but since it was a present out of the kindness of the elders, he wouldn't refuse out of pride. But, if the elders had been still living in the home that the university had distributed to them in a distant era, the situation would be very different.
When Jungkook received the place, he had felt a bit of guilt. Taehyung's parents didn't want a single penny of the money Taehyung made. Jungkook had felt that, since Taehyung had his own money, they didn't need his parents to buy for them. Even though they only paid the down payment, but the down payment was still a few ten thousand.
For professors in the not-so-rich areas of history and archaeology, a few ten thousand for a down payment should have been the most of their savings.
And they didn't have to buy a new place. Taehyung's old place had been pretty good.
After Taehyung understood his thoughts, he felt a bit helpless and explained: "They're used to living on campus. Because my grandfather used to live there and my father was my grandfather's student. They met in that room."Taehyung thought it was a bit funny, "Also, my parents aren't that poor."
When Taehyung's mother, Professor Kim, learned about this later, her like of Jungkook went up another level. That the good-will that had been given was received and returned, it was one of the most beautiful things in the world.
