..........

It was morning and Alyssa and Garrett's mom are trying to get the bowl full of water but the sink isn't working then I heard the news was on. The city’s mayor got on the news with an urgent message. His face was uneasy because he had to share some awful news, to ask the community to reduce the amount of water they are using. They are saying there's a drought and they are calling it a "TAP OUT".
I looked at everybody in the room "What's going on?" Uncle Basil said, Alyssa's mom, Alyssa replied to Basil " they say Arizona and Nevada just backed out of the reservoir relief deal" I didn't listen to everything else. Wow, I can't believe this happened. Everything is happening too fast. I only heard a little bit of what was going on around me. Alyssa, Garrett, and Uncle Basil left to get water that was left at the stores a few minutes passed, and when they were back they brought bags filled with ice. "What's happening to the water," I say "there was no more so we bought the ice" Garret said as he brought the bag of ice inside scarlet was just sitting there no care in the world I just sigh "what", they spoke with an attitude "nothing" I replied and walked away outside. I then saw Kelton "Hi Leo,"  Kelton said I didn't want to talk to Kelton. He creeped me out. He would always weirdly look at Alyssa. I think she noticed it. I left them to do their thing and went on a walk until I heard Athy yelling at me saying “STOP wait up!” so I stopped. She caught up to me and we started walking and talking together we'd talk about dogs cats and most importantly, Scarlet like how she's rood and trying to get my parents on her side…..I mean she already got my mom around her finger, my dad, on another hand does by it even though my parents aren't together he still lives with us. I think Athy and I are getting along. I mean I have never seen this side of her and we share everyday things. I'm happy I look up and smile at her and she looks down and smiles at me.

We took a long walk around the neighborhood and went back to the house. We walked in the front door and went to bed. I wonder how long this tap-out will happen. A few days later we heard there will be water machines or whatever that turn seawater into drinkable so Alyssa's dad and Marry are going to the beach and waited in line. They waved us goodbye and left in the car saying they were going to be back as we sat around thinking they would be back.
