*short chapter*
"Hey Haze, at the movies today you seemed off. So we decided to have a girls night. We can talk about anything, including boys! Or girls if you prefer." Tara exclaims.
Relda and her girlfriend giggle at her statement. We all fell asleep after drinking and talking about random things.
I woke up next morning and saw all the girls knocked out cold on my bed. I check the time and realize I have an appointment with my doctor about my medication.
I text in the group chat where I was in case one of them wakes up and try's looking for me.
I then hop in my car and drive to the doctors office. As I enter her office I speak to her about changing my medication.
"I have been experiencing some side effects from my medication and I have been thinking about getting a new prescription."
"Is it anything serious dear?"
"No ma'am I don't think so."
"Alright dear, here is your new prescription. Visit the pharmacy and you shall be set."
"Thank you Ms. Watkins"
As I leave the doctors office I visit the pharmacy next door and bought my new medication.
As I'm driving back to my apartment I notice the date says Thursday. I then realize I have therapy in 30 minutes. I then quickly take a U turn and drive to therapy.
I text the girls to let them know I'll take a little longer and I'll be back in an hour or so and they should make themselves at home.
I then sit in the waiting room waiting for my therapy session.
It was my turn to enter so I went in and sat on the couch.
"Good afternoon Haze, what's wrong? You don't seem like yourself today. You seem gloomier than usual? Are you thinking about your grandmother's incident?"
Maria White is my therapist. Her family are huge business owners and share a business with my family, so she never had to go to college to become a therapist. I never had to go to college either, but I just wanted the experience. Maria is 23, she is one year younger than me though she looks 17. Many people say I also look young, I don't see it though. We're pretty close.
"No It's just something came up a few days ago. You know Ale street right?"
"Of course, we grew up there, sad I moved away.."
"Well, have you seen an old, gloomy, and I don't know eerie house on Ale Street before?"
"No I haven't, maybe you should ask Mrs. Hams."
"That's the thing, she's away on a business trip"
"I thought she retired?"
"Mrs. Hams is a busy woman no matter how old she gets. I'm sorry for wasting your time Maria."
"No no girl! I'm happy to help anyway I can. Is there anything else you would like to discuss?"
"Well school has been hard....."
After I finished blabbering all my personal information to my therapist. My session was over and I said goodbye to my best friend away from home.
As I exit the room I see Vincent sitting in the waiting room. I knew he took therapy but I didn't know he took it here in this specific building.
"Vin! I didn't know you took therapy here?"
"I switched to here a month ago and forgot to tell you! I'm sorry Haze"
"No it's okay Vin you get to talk to our old friend Maria. I'm glad you're here We were the closest trio in kindergarten!" I smiled.
"We were like the three musketeers back then it's crazy how time flies. I was sad when she moved away but now she works here and I'm glad!"
"Yea..." Awkward silence fell between us instantly.
"Its good to see you Vin I'm going to go back home now..."
"Yea, drive safe Haze."
I then left the building and drove back to my apartment.
As I'm driving I try to take a different path back home so I wouldn't have to pass the house. However something was controlling me. The car took an instant U turn forcing me to pass the house.
I started to panic as my ears started ringing and screaming my name. I lost control of my own body. As I pulled up in front of the house. I almost stepped out the car.
I stopped myself before I touched the ground and slammed my door shut. I got chills and hot flashes. As I sped back to my apartment.
My mind is spinning as I try to process what just happened.
I pull up to my apartment and rush inside.
I slam the door open frightening the girls
"Haze what the fuck?"
"Girls something is wrong with this neighborhood and we need to talk about it."
