*Long chapter*
Today is a new day. Filled with more exams. Hopefully Barlowe keeps his promise.
As I'm driving to campus I decide to take the long way so I don't have any encounters with the house. I try to turn my car but the wheel would not budge. I try and try and try again to move the wheel but it was stuck.
My car moved by itself as if it wants me to pass the house. The car suddenly picks up speed and drives up to the house.
Screaming. Screaming was all I heard. I then heard voices. They were saying something. However, I couldn't make out what they were saying. It got louder and louder.
I then hear a loud crack. Like something broke. I took my hands off my ears and opened my eyes. All the windows in my car broke. Including the windscreen.
I stomped on the pedal until it moved and sped away from the house.
I reached campus and parked my car. I stepped out to take a look at it. It looked horrendous. I then called my father for an appointment to install new windows while I headed to class.
My parents are rich and my father is a mechanic and happens to be my father. Therefore, my car can be fixed for free. Free of charge.
As I exit my last class I make my way back to Barlowe's. He promised to tell me everything. I finally get answers.
As I enter his class I scan the room. He wasn't there. I then hear something crash. I turned my head to the back door of his class. He then poked his head out the door with what looks like spilled alcohol leaking out the room.
"Oh, Ms. Landford, sorry for the inconvenience I spilled some wine on the floor."
"Is.. That even allowed on campus--"
"No, no, no, no, no we don't speak of that"
"I-- Okay Adimin you did promise to tell me about the house... Right?"
"Have a seat Hazel, because what I am about to tell you might be a little much for you to take in."
"Try me." I dared while taking a seat.
He then got two glasses of wine and sat in his chair with his feet on the table.
"Wine?" He asked as he handed me a glass.
I took the glass and crossed my legs glaring at him, waiting for him to begin.
"Cheers" I raised my eyebrows as I took a sip of wine.
He began.
"Your grandmother and I we're like this" He crossed his fingers.
"Okay..?"
"Your gram and I had a six year age difference yet we were still close. I worked at this restaurant that she would go to everyday. After that we were inseparable. Platonic. Totally platonic with a capital P.
One day your gram came to me screaming. She was 37 and I was 31. She kept telling me about this house but I--I couldn't make out what she was saying so I sat her down and she told me about hearing things.
I thought she was crazy at first so I eventually just told her to tell your grandfather about it. Assuming he knew how to calm her down.
It wasn't until a couple days, weeks later. April 24th, 2005."
I started shaking when I heard that date. My breathing was shallow. A cold sweat slid down my back giving me chills. He continued.
"That date. That was the date of the incident. The day she came running to me 'Adimin! Adimin! Let's go in the house!' That was the day everything changed.
