ch 11

After the two finished their meal, they stood up laughing at some corny Dad joke Zach made, the eldest Salvatore and his daughter heading to the bar to pay for their meal. As Kayla was walking behind him she looked to the right and saw her friends gathered at a table

"I'll meet you at the car, I'm gonna speak to Caroline and them" Kayla mentioned to Zach who nodded before continuing to the bar

"Hey y'all" Kayla greeted as she approached the table. Caroline grinned and moved over to make room beside her and Tyler for her to stand
"Kayla! Hey, we haven't seen you all nigh. How's Zach?" Caroline greeted causing her friend to smile
"He's good, we just finished eating"

"Awe, spending time with Daddy?" Tyler teased
"Aye not too much now Lockwood" Kayla eyed her friend

Despite her viewing Zach as he dad and him having adopted her when her mom and him got married, Kayla never actually called him Dad

The group of friends chuckled at the interaction between the two when Jeremy approached the group
"Hey, has anyone seen Vicki?"

Nodding his head upward Tyler spoke "You're her stalker. You tell us"
Ignoring his tone Jeremy replied "I can't find her"

"She probably found somebody else to party with. Sorry, pill pusher, I guess you've been replaced" Tyler shrugged wincing when Kayla smacked his arm

"What's with the pill pusher?" Elena spoke up, the last part sticking to her
"Ask him" The lockwood spoke again causing the youngest Gilbert to sigh in annoyance
"You wanna do this right now?"

"Are you dealing?" Elena pushed only to be ignored as Kayla looked made eye contact with Caroline and whispered "I think imma head out" only to be stopped when her arm was grabbed by the Bennett girl as she attempted to pass her
"If I gotta stay, so do you"

"She's never gonna go for you" Tyler pressed causing Jeremy to retaliate "She already did. Over and over and over again"

"I hope you're clean Gilbert or I'll beat your ass"

Kayla's statement went ignored by everyone as Tyler and Caroline spoke
"Yeah right"
"You slept with Vicki Donovan? I mean, Vicki Donovan slept with you?" Caroline questioned before turning to Kayla and asking "Before or after?"
"Most definitely after, I'm always first" Kayla shrugged

"There's no way"
"And I didn't even have to force her into it"

Jeremy's last statement caught the attention of everyone who was either silently watching or not paying attention

Matt squinted looking at his best friend "What the hell is he talking about, Ty?"
"Nothing, man, just ignore him, he's a punk" Tyler shook his head
"Better be nothing Lockwood" Kayla turned to face towards him with a look of disbelief

"You know what, how about all of you shut up and help me find my sister?" Matt stated annoyed before heading to the front door of the Grill
"We'll check the back" Bonnie motioned towards herself and Caroline
"I'll check the square" Matt called out

"I'll come with you" Jeremy started but was stopped by Elena grabbing his arm
"Oh, no, no, no. You are coming with me"

"I'll check the parking lot" Kayla announced before turning to Tyler with a raised eyebrow as she walked backwards with him following her out the door

"I swear I was drunk, I'm a dick but I wouldn't force someone into something in the right mind Kayla. I promise" Tyler pleaded as he walked beside the girl
"Did you at least apologize?"

Kayla waited for a response only to get silence. The teen turned around and hit the boy on the arm "Ow!"
Crossing her arms Kayla scolded the taller boy "Next time you see her, you apologize for being a dick and either act correct or leave her alone. Got it?"
"Got it"
"Good. Now you check the town square and I'll check the parking lot. I'll text if I find her"

Kayla and Tyler separated, both walking in other directions. Kayla glanced around her area trying to spot the Donovan girl before she reached the parking lot when she heard a door open behind her causing her to turn around and see the very girl everyone is looking for

"Vicki?"

Hearing her name the girl turned around and smiled "Hey Kayla"
"You good?"
"Yea I just ripped my stitches but I took some pills so I'm good. Your cousin found me"

"Mhmm right. And where is my cousin" Kayla questioned glancing around
"I don't know" Vicki shrugged before walking off towards the Grill

Kayla tilted her head and pulled her phone out to text the group chat that Vicki is heading back to the Grill when she felt eyes on her. The teen reached into her purse subtly and turned around when someone came out the door. Kayla whipped out her taser and zapped the person till they fell to the floor yelling her name "Kayla! It's me"

blinked and tilted her head to the person on the floor, Kayla gasps "OMG Stefan! I thought you were a Murderer. I'm sorry"

"Why is that taser so strong?" Stefan winced as Kayla helped him up
"It's from the police station...I got it from Liz. Well I took it from Liz"
"Damn" Stefan winced turning around as Zach drove up beside the two

"You both okay?"
"I taser Stefan on accident"
"I told you to give that back to Liz" Zach sighed

"I will, im just looking for one with the same voltage" Kayla shrugged before walking to the car, glancing back at Stefan
"Sorry again Stef. I didn't know it was you"

"It's fine. At least we know you can défend your self" Stefan chuckled

Kayla smiled before gesturing to the car "You coming?"

"I'm actually gonna try and speak to Elena. I'll see you both at Home" Stefan opened the passenger door to help Kayla in before closing it and watching them drive off, hearing Kayla speak to Zach

"You sure he wasn't celibate before he move in? It's giving obsessed. How he obsessed with some cat he ain't never had?"

"You are truly your mothers child"
