Chaper 14

Emma:

As Luke drives, we follow mom.
"Do you know where we are going?" I asked
"No, just that Strand as a place we can go." Luke said
I stayed quiet wondering where this guy is taking us.
"Are we going to the sea?" I asked
"It looks like we are." Luke told me
We finally make it to this house.
We get down helping the girls out.
We see this house, it's fancy. Not bad, I thought. As we sat the kids down on the couch we made them sandwiches. As they ate I went to look outside and saw mom and Nick talking.
"Mommy." Olivia called
"Yeah, sweetheart?" I asked
"Can we play outside?" She asked
"That's fine just stay in front of the house." I said as they all ran outside, even Cameron.

As I watched them, I saw it. A boat. That must be why we are here. This can work. I whistle and Luke looks at me. I point at the boat as he walks towards me.
"Is that what we are doing?" He asked
"I think so" I said
"What should we do?" Luke asked
"Get the bags from the car, I'm going to get the kids to bathe, then help you." I said
He went to the car, while I got the kids.
"Cam, take a shower, quickly. Girls,let's go." I said
As cam went and took a shower, I grabbed the girls and we all took a bath together. We were in and out, 10 minutes.
After we got out we saw clothes laid out, and I knew was Luke. We changed and I helped Luke take the bags down to the beach. All the bags are finally on the ground, Luke taking most of them, if not all. I only had 3 bags. We went back up and got the kids.
"Olivia, Cameron stay near me." I said as I picked up Olivia.
"Vannessa, Veronica come here." Luke said as he picked them up.
As we were about to walk back out, Strand stopped us
"Where are you going?" He asked
"We found this boat. I'm assuming that is where we are going." I said
"Yes, but not we, me." He said
I laughed as I had my hun behind my back
"It's funny you think we wouldn't go with you. We will kill you, to get that boat." I said
"I believe you. Well, shall we start going." He said
As we started walking we heard a shot. We all looked at each other and then saw it. Eliza, she was dead. I couldn't think of that though. We walked to the room and told everyone to get there stuff.
"Strand let's go"I said
We went to the beach and got the raft and started packing the bags on there
"I'll go first." Strand said
"Yeah, no. Luke go, with the boat and unpack everything. Then come back." I said keeping Strand next to me.

Luke came back with an empty boat and we had all the kids on it. Thankfully, they didn't see what came next. After they, were safe, mom and the others came with their stuff.
"Let's go." I said as we packed the boat again but with my siblings and I on it this time.
We drove off and we started unpacking.
"I'm going back." Luke said
As he drove off I took all of our bags into our rooms. Luke and I had our own, while the girls shared. Cameron wanted his own.

Luke:

As I drove back, I saw tge dead everywhere. I keot the boat steady, killing any walkers that came close. I saw that we were only missing 5 bags, which isn't bad. As I drove back, I got out looking for my wife.

Emma:

I started helping the girls unpack there bags. Organizing there clothes, toys, and shoes. I changed them in pajamas, before heading to Cameron's room.
"You okay in here, bub?" I asked
"Yeah, mom. I unpacked everything." He said
"You still have your knife, right?" I asked
"Yeah, I do." He said
"Alright, your father and I will be teaching you how to properly use it and a gun." I said
"Okay." He said
I left the room to see mom and Luke
"Mom! Luke!" I screamed hugging them
"Hi hon/sweetie." They said
"Are you okay. You look tired." I told mom
"Yeah, I'm just going to get some sleep." Mom said walking into a room

After she left, Luke and I went into our room. He immediatly kissed me.
"Babe, let's go. We have to read the girls a bedtime story." I said as we got up
Luke and I read them the little mermaid. They feel asleep and we checked Cameron's room and saw him knocked out. Knowing they were also, we headed to our room.
"Okay we have to unpack first." I said as we started hanging out clothes, shoes, equipment, and weapons. Thankfully we got the room with a lock.
We are finally done. I changed clothes, only for my husband to grab me from behind and gently put me on the bed.

I teared up hearing the name
"I like that." I said
After that conversation I finally fell asleep in the comfort of my husband.
