It has been years since Anne had last saw her two best friends, when the three made it to Earth, those ten years ago, they had found the entire town waiting for them, their parents at the front of the crowd with worried but relieved expressions. Applauds and cheers sounded as the portal closed off behind them "goodbye Amphibia" whispered Anne, sighing as she watched the world fade away before her very eyes, she heard sobs coming from Sasha as they all held hands, turning towards the crowd as they cheered louder. Their parents had ran up to them and gave them spine breaking hugs, sobbing louder into their arms as they did, questions being fired at the three as they tried to answer each one calmly through their muffled cries. But again, that was ten years ago, and a lot had happened in between now and then.
Not only had it been years since she last spoke to Marcy, due to her moving away, but also Sasha.
The first year of highschool was the best year for Anne.. and she hoped for Sasha as well, especially since during that year the two had dated, after confessing their feelings for one another at the end of middle school they had decided to take it slow, after Amphibia and everything maybe dating wasn't the right path for them..but they had decided to try anyways. It's safe to say it went well...for a while, but after a few months the two just felt too different and thus began the drifting apart, it was too bad because Anne really did love Sasha, even through her many dates and other girlfriends she couldn't get the blonde out of her mind, she would talk to Marcy about her for hours and Marcy would listen intently, she would give her advice and tell her to "just talk to Sasha" which was easier said then done.
Sasha didn't know that she was Anne's Lesbian awakening and Anne didn't know that she was Sasha's Bi awakening, but Marcy knew, Marcy knew everything.
Sasha and Marcy were going to be here any second now, Anne silently prayed to herself that it wouldn't be awkward, she wanted their reunion to be nice and not awkward.
She closed the glass doors to the aquarium, the reflection catching her eyes "Marcy! Sasha!" She turned to face her two best friends, Sasha's short blonde hair glowed in the artificial light, she wore a leather jacket with her two signature swords patched on her upper arm, the scar on her cheek made Anne's heart ache at the memory of its creation, Marcy stood next to her, a bag with a frog print in hand, her long black hair bounced as she walked through the entrance to "Amphibia" a recreation of the place she called home once now as her work place, this was her safe place, Marcy and Sasha found that out the hard way.
Anne ran up and hugged them tightly, excited sequels filled the room as they let eachother go, motioning that they should get going, they had made a booking and it was getting late.
On their way out Sasha couldn't help but stare at Anne, she made a silent comment to herself of how cute she looked in her uniform, ugh, what was going on, she couldn't still have feelings for Anne..right?
The trio made their way out the entrance, making small talk on their trek to Sasha's convertible. The gravel crunched beneath their feet as they inched closer to the open-roofed car, a sudden beep echoed through the darkness as the lights lit up on the car, notifying the girls that the car was now unlocked.
Sasha was the first to make it to the car, she wrapped her fist around the car door and pulled, opening it enough to fit her body in, the others did the same with Anne in the front and Marcy in the back.
The vehicle let out a soft purr as the blonde turned the key, the entire car shuddered as it was switched on, Sasha turned to the back and began to reverse out of the parking space.
"So Marcy, how's it like living in (wherever she moved to)?" Questioned Anne, trying to make conversation, "well, it took a while to make friends but I found my calling, the chess club!" The girls eyes shone with joy, the memory of being able to join something she loved and find people who loved the same things as her made her realise how worried she needn't had been ten years ago, the outburst she had had, trapping her and her two best friends in another universe, it was all for nothing as moving away was not as hard as she had thought at first, of course no one could ever replace Sasha and Anne, and sure she knew it was going to be hard to make friends, but she had never thought for once that maybe it would all work out, she was stupid, just a dumb kid, but now she had changed. After their adventure in Amphibia she had realised so much, even if Andrias turned out to be evil he still helped Marcy to realise the errors of her ways, helped her come to terms with everything. It paid off, and it showed.
