Fresh air lapped the frogs face, the sudden feeling sent shivers down his spine, he slowly lifted his hood over his blonde hair, strands sticking out in all directions. For the first time in centuries Keir moved, he dropped his arms down to his sides, sucking the air in through his lungs, inhaling and exhaling as he dropped down onto the cold concrete floor, once again sending shivers down his spine. "H- "He began before coughing, he hardly recognised the sound of his own voice or the feel of his own body.

"How long as it been?" He searched around for answers but could hardly see in the darkness, his eyes slowly adjusting to his surroundings, "First things first, getting out of here" He grunted as he crawled to the door he could just make out in the corner. He breathed in and held it as he reached for the door handle, pulling it down, only exhaling when the door swung open and revealed a vast hallway, the moss men hallway, the hallway that Keir had travelled down so many times was now empty and void of any life. He continued on, now standing up and walking, making his way slowly to the large doors he had opened so many times, he stood there, as if waiting for something to happen, but what he didn't expect was the sudden pain that throbbed in his head, causing him to fall backwards and hit the concrete once again. He curled up into a ball in front of the doors, begging for the pain to stop, "Stop her! Stop her! STOP HER!" The Core's distorted voice echoed in his mind, lingering for what felt like hours before it all went quiet.

Too quiet.

A final pain shot up through his entire body, a common feeling he had when he was faced with The Core entered one last time before fading away forever, a new emptiness replacing that of what once was The Core. Keir ran, ignoring the ache of his feet as he reached the door, leaning on it to catch his breath before once again running off, his destination set on the outside. He ran out of battered doors, running down the stairs and continued running until he found himself on grass greener than it had ever been before. He looked up into the sky as though feeling The Core's presence, "No!" He screamed as he watched the moon shatter into a million tiny pieces, that was The Core, I just know it was...but how!?

He shouted out in anger before falling to his knees, "She's going to be alright, right?" He looked over, noticing a crowd of Amphibians not too far from him, it was them, anger rifled up inside him as he made his way over, sneaking through the bushes to get a better look. In front of him was a group of Newts, toads and frogs, working...together? He shook it off as he noticed a more interesting detail, a human girl, no wait 2 human girls, no wait 2 human girls and a pile of leaves. He looked closer, trying to make the scene, realising what had happened. They destroyed The Core, and they used the calamity spell to do it! King Aldrich had told him about it before, the only thing that could destroy The Core were the Calamity stones, three chosen warriors from another dimension would possess a power from each Calamity stone, heart, wisdom and strength, but the powers could only be received when the time was right. And somehow, they had achieved this, but not without consequences, one of them had died in the process.

A sudden presence next to the group caught his attention, the third human girl? Impossible. Keir stared at the girl as she walked to the group, her presence not noticeable until spoke, obviously confusing the group, but in their confusion they had jumped up and all held the un-dead girl, crying harder, this time tears of joy. Yuck. Thought Keir, but his repulsiveness was quickly replaced with hatred, the want for revenge grew stronger as plans begin to form in his mind.

He continued watching the group, watching the three girls say their final goodbyes and make their way through the portal, back to the human realm. But now that the Calamity Box was destroyed how was he supposed to exact his revenge? He already knew the answer.

Ten years later

After researching every book in the castle library, Keir knew he was ready, ready to create the perfect clone of the Calamity Box. He spent months creating it, he went on perilous adventures to find a Calamity Stone, and after years he finally did. He had now moved on to the infamous trials, making his way to the first door.
(Sorry but I am not going to re-watch all the trial episodes and write it, but you know what happened)

Keir fought his way to the exit of the last trial, breathes coming in and out unevenly as he slowly made his way to the castle, through the bush he could hardly make out which way he had come, his sense of direction old and out-dated as new forest had since grown in since the last time. He struggled through the branches, breaking them off in anger if they so dared to get in his path, he was tired and longed the sweet taste of revenge, he was finally ready, but was he physically ready, surely after decades of being trapped in one place would stiffen up his muscles, the only thing that fuelled him to make it this far was the fury that had stuck with him for ten years after The Core's death, hardly able to think of anything besides that dreadful day he struck out, throwing his fist at a nearby over-sized creature that had been eyeing him off for the entire trip, causing the creature to be flung backwards and hit a tree, falling to the ground and struggling to get up.

He kept treading along, after many hours he made his way back to the ex-kings' castle, angrily strutting through the giant entrance doors and heading directly for the castle itself, tucked right in the middle of the city. Keir made it to the throne room in haste and finally, after all his waiting, he placed the box down on the pedestal, brushing away overgrown vines and debris as he did. A sudden light shot out from the pedestal, he was finally ready to get his revenge on Anne Boonchuy.

This is not my best work.....but trust me next chapter is going be a lot better, atleast I hope 😭

Sorry it's super short, the next one will be extra long...which yes does mean it will take longer to write and publish, but I have already written half of it and trust me its going to be super cute

I write this while in class a lot and ya know I'm so distracted in class but I'll try to write more after school and in my own time when there is no distractions because then I can actually think and do my best work
I hate writing the boring parts of the story such as these side parts because writing the Sashanne parts is my defo favourite and so I write the best when I'm writing Sashanne lol
