Two months later, Christmas Eve...
"Come on! We have to go to Gramma and Grampa's in twenty minutes! And you can't go naked!", The exhausted brunette yells, chasing her naked daughters around the living room.
The girls run around giggling. Mike gets up and catches the girls as they turn the corner. He picks them both up swiftly and hands Adley over to his girlfriend. The girls protest to putting on their matching red and green plaid dresses.
"What are we gonna do with you?", Mike asks as they finish dressing the children.
"Should we sell them and get ourselves a bunch of candy?", El asks in a joking tone.
"Nooooo!", The girls cry out as they rush to hug eachother.
"I'm just kidding, babies. I love you very very much. I don't know what I'd do without you.", Their mother reassures.
"C'mon. We gotta get in the car or we're gonna be late.", Mike says, scooping up his daughters as their mother opens the front door.
They get settled in the car with their gifts for their family in the trunk and the girls in the backseat in their carseats. They make it to the familiar house at the end of the cul-de-sac illuminated by Christmas lights. They hop out of the car and the girls run to the front door while Mike and El grab the presents out of the back.
Karen opens the front door to find her granddaughters that she absolutely adores.
"Gramma!", The girls say jumping to hug their grandmother.
"Why, hello, my sweet angels.", Karen gushes.
They walk into the house and Mike and El go straight for the tree and put the presents underneath. The girl's immediately attack their aunts, uncle, and grandfather in affection. Soon, it's time for dinner and it goes like a blur.
"Auntie Nance, would you play with us?", Sunshine asks, playing with a strand of her honey hair.
"Aunt Holly, can you play too?", Adley asks, her dark brown orbs looking at their aunts, pleading.
"Okay, we'll play with you.", Nancy says. They sit on the ground with the girls and start playing with the blocks set out for the girls.
They open presents and they stay until the girls start to fall asleep. They put everything in the car and drive home. The parents carry the girls inside to their bedroom and tuck them in. Then they go outside to carry in the presents from the car and put them away. They walk to their closet and grab the unwrapped presents and carry them to the living room with wrapping paper, tape, and scissors. They finish wrapping the presents and place them under the tree so their daughters have gifts from 'Santa' in the morning. Little did El know, Mike slipped a little box with her name on it into the pile.
The next morning, Christmas Day...
Mike and El get woken up by two toddlers jumping on their bed. El sits up, wearing her boyfriend's tshirt, to cover her nakedness.
"Momma, Daddy, Santa came!!", The girls yell excitedly.
"Oh my gosh! We have to go open presents don't we?", El asks matching their excitement.
"Yeah!", The girls yell, once again, in unison.
"Let us get dressed and then we can open presents okay?", El says to their daughters. The girls exit the room.
Mike and El walk to their dressers to grab their clothes. El puts on her undergarments and pants and holds her shirt in her hand as she walks to the mirror. Mike follows her and wraps his arms around her from behind and places a kiss on her neck.
"You're beautiful.", He says to his girlfriend. She smiles softly.
"Last night was fun.", She says, unraveling herself from his arms and putting on her shirt.
"Yeah. It was.", He says, holding out his hand for her to take as they walk out to the living room.
The girls were sitting patiently on the couch waiting for their parents.
"Thanks for being so patient. You can open your presents now.", Mike says.
The girls run to the presents and begin ripping every single one open, their excitement only growing with every present.
"Momma? There's one for you.", Adley says to her mom and brings it to her. El looks surprised and takes the present.
"This one's from me.", Mike says.
El unwraps the box. Her heart nearly jumps out of her chest when she sees a silver band with a larger purple diamond and tiny white diamonds. The woman looks at her partner in shock. He takes the case from her.
"El, I have loved you for six years. The only people that I love more than you are our two beautiful daughters. Will you marry me?", Mike says. Tears well up in El's eyes. The girls look at them weirdly.
"I thought you'd never ask. Yes, Mike, of course I will.", She laughs and takes the ring from the box. Her now fiancé slides it on her finger.
The girls sit and play with their new toys and the two adults make breakfast and set out outfits for the day. The woman looks down at her finger and beams. The man walks up and hugs her from behind.
"You like it?", He asks.
"I love it, Mike. But, it must've costed a fortune.", She says.
"Nancy and Robin are friends with a jeweler and they gave me a pretty big discount.", He chuckles.
"Well, I love it.", The girl turns around.
"I love you.", She says and places her lips on his.
"We have to get the girls ready.", Mike says, pulling away from the kiss.
"Alright.", El says, pecking him on the lips once more.
"Alright, Girlies! Time to get ready to go to grandma and grandpa's.", Mike says, picking up Sunshine off the floor. El walks over and grabs Adley.
They all ready and into the car. They make it to the house that they had been hanging out at for years and get out of the car. They walk into the house and the girls run to greet everyone and then rush to play with Auggie.
"Hey, kids.", Joyce yells from the kitchen as Mike and El walk into the crowded living area.
"Hey, Joyce.", El says, grabbing ahold of Mike's hand, dragging him over to where Dustin, Suzie, Will, Jack, Max, Lucas, Erica, Robin, and Steve are sitting.
"Hey guys.", El says.
"Heyyy.", They all say to the couple.
They all sit around talking and catching up until Nancy enters the room and announces thar dinner is ready. They all grab their food and the food for the children. When they all get settled, Mike and El stand up, huge smiles plastered on their faces.
"We have and announcement, everyone!", Mike exclaims.
"We're engaged!", El blurts out and cheers erupt.
