Y/N POV

Waking up in our new house and our new bedroom is still massively weird. Waking up in our new house and new bedroom without Hailee next to me is even more weird.

Unfortunately, Hailee has a full day today that she had to leave early for, so she left me in bed hours ago when her day started somewhere around 5am.

I look over to the clock across the room and see that it's 7:02. As much as I'd love to stay in bed all day, I've got to get up and get moving. I've got to be on location at the Strange 2 shoot at 9. At least I've got lunch with Lizzie to look forward to.

I get ready and head downstairs. I can't help the smile that forms on my face when I see a single rose placed in a glass bottle on the kitchen counter with a note folded neatly beside it. Even if I didn't know who could've left it, I'd recognize that handwriting anywhere.

Good morning, Mush!
You looked so peaceful sleeping that I didn't have the heart to wake you up to tell you bye. But I promise, I gave your forehead a million kisses before I left! I hope you have a fantastic day on your first assignment and enjoy your lunch with Lizzie. And know that I'm missing you horribly, every second we aren't together. I can't wait to come home to you tonight. I love you most, never forget that.

PS - check the fridge, I left a surprise for you!

Xoxo,
Haiz

I hold onto the note as I turn to open the fridge at her request. Right in front of me I see the surprise she was talking about. Low and behold, it's an iced coffee with the ice still in it. Either Hailee is moonlighting as a magician or she hasn't been gone too long.

I pull the drink from the fridge and take a sip. It's perfect, just like I always order it. I take a seat on one of the stools and open up my texts to thank Hailee.

My Mush ✏️
Good morning, my love! Thank you so much for the flower and the note and the coffee! You amaze me every day with all the little things you do for me. I appreciate it all. I hope your morning is off to a great start. I love you!

I send the message and grab a banana out of the fruit bowl on the counter before checking my bag to make sure I have everything I need before heading out to work.

As I'm getting my things together, I can't help but think about where I am in this very moment compared to where I was just a few months ago. It's similar, and yet so very different.

I'm still getting ready to go to work, but I'm not running late today. I'm still drinking a coffee that someone else bought for me, although this time it wasn't Taylor, it was Hailee. And well....my house is decidedly nicer these days. I decide not to dwell on it, I like to believe that we're always right where we're supposed to be right when we're supposed to be there. And there's nowhere I'd rather be than right here.

Once I'm satisfied that I have everything I need for my day, I grab my keys and head out to the garage. Honestly parking in a garage is going to take some getting used to. Having an assortment of cars to choose from on a daily basis is something I don't think I'll ever get used to. But hell, if gas prices keep rising the way they are, we're going to have to add a Tesla into the mix soon. It's a bad time to own a Jeep, that's for sure.

Before setting off to my destination, I put the address into my GPS. As it turns out, Kevin wasn't kidding when he told me that Marvel will send over details for where I'm going right before I need it. I didn't get the email with details until yesterday morning. They really do keep things under wraps, even to their employees apparently.
