Y/N POV
When Hailee and I agreed to get up and work out together this morning, I must not have been thinking straight. While she's getting a good workout in, I'm far too distracted by watching her to do any of my own reps.
Over the course of this morning however, I've learned that running on a treadmill really isn't that bad if you've got a nice view to look at.
Watching Hailee Steinfeld stretch and put in work on a speed bag is a very nice view.
"See something you like?" Hailee says breathlessly as she stops the bag after her last set and begins pulling off her gloves.
"I like everything I see babe." I say with a shameless smirk. My comment making her smile as she takes a drink of water before sauntering over and handing the bottle to me.
"Normally I'd tell you to go lift something heavy but I'm not complaining about all the cardio you're doing. You'll need it." She say suggestively.
Thank goodness I'm literally running on autopilot because otherwise I would've face-planted at her comment.
I push through the final stretch of my 6-mile run and hit the stop button before stepping off the treadmill to do a cool down stretch. Hailee joins me on the floor to do some stretching for herself.
"So what's the plan for the rest of the day and how much food does it involve?" I ask when my stomach growls loudly as I stretch. Hailee must hear it too because she busts out laughing.
"Well it sounds like our first stop is gonna be the kitchen!" She says when she collects herself enough to speak. "We need to keep it light though because we have dinner with Scarlett, remember?" She asks.
Oh shit...how did I forget about that?!
My eyes grow wide on their own accord, making my forgetfulness apparent. "What would you do without me?" Hailee says with an exasperated chuckle as she stands and holds her hand out to me to help me up.
"Forget every one of my personal obligations, clearly." I reply honestly.
Hailee takes a seat at the counter while I pull what I need to make a couple of turkey sandwiches. Something she's looking at on her phone gets her attention.
"Oh cool! Scar said she invited Lizzie and Robbie to dinner tonight too. And apparently Evans is a maybe. We haven't seen him since New Years!" She says excitedly. I can't help but be aware of the growing pit in my stomach.
With a tight smile, I ask the question that I almost don't even want to know the answer to. But I hate walking into uncomfortable situations blind.
"Do you know if Scarlett invited anyone else? Or is that the whole group?" I ask, trying to sound casual but admittedly it doesn't sound casual at all.
Hailee puts her phone down and looks at me. "You mean did she invite Florence?" She deadpans. Of course she sees right through me. Hailee reads me like a book sometimes.
I take a deep breath and nod as I slide Hailee's plate over to her. "Yea. Is Florence going?" I ask as plainly as I can.
"I don't know. I assume she's been invited. It seems like Scar is getting the whole band together." Hailee says before taking a bite of her sandwich. I'm glad I made hers first. I've suddenly lost my own appetite.
Hailee notices me starting to put things away without making a sandwich for myself and stops me in my tracks.
"What are you doing? Ten minutes ago your stomach sounded like the demagorgan and now you aren't making yourself a sandwich?" She asks, her tone laced with disapproval.
