Could you two get closer? Maybe look at each other. - Penelope suggested while checking the camera before the photographer took another shot.
- Don't you think they're close enough? - said Anthony who was supervising all of it and waiting (not so patiently) to be interviewed.
- They're the main couple. - she added with a convincing smile. - They will never be close enough, trust me.
Anthony stared at Kate and Dorset while they posed in different arrangements, trying to take the perfect shot for their first magazine article. The way they looked at each other was starting to make him feel uncomfortable. He needed to constantly remind himself that they were actors. That's what they did: act. They might be looking at each other as if they want to devour one another, but that doesn't mean that they actually feel this way. At least, that's what he's been repeating to himself for the last 40 minutes.
Truth be told, Anthony was starting to regret this whole article idea. At first he thought it would be good for the movie to have the cast revealed in one of the most famous celebrity gossip magazines of all time. It would be a great way to let the fans know that the movie was starting production and also to give them something to talk about for at least another month. He could already envision all the fanart that they would make of Kate as Kathani. She would love it.
But then again, even though Penelope had promised him an award deserving article (and in all honesty he knew she was more than capable of delivering it), nothing could've prepared him for this photoshoot.
The fact that Kate and Dorset became friends was great for the filming environment, but apparently not so great for Anthony's heart. He couldn't focus enough whenever they were too close to each other, and he needed to work on that because they would be working together for a long time.
- Okay, I think we got it. - Penelope's voice brought him back to reality. - Next is the interview with the screenwriter/director. Anthony, please.
Anthony positioned himself in one of the comfortable sofas of the studio and Penelope sat opposite to him with a recorder in her hand. He couldn't help but notice that Dorset went to get a coffee while Kate stayed behind to watch his interview. The pride he felt was almost shameful.
- So, Anthony, what can you tell us about the movie? What's your vision for it?
- Well, the movie is an adaptation of the book, and by the way if you haven't read it yet please do so. For those of you who have read it though I can say that I'll try to be as faithful as possible. The book is already great by itself and I believe that's why it's so popular and it has so many fans. Julia Quinn did an excellent job creating this story and I see no reason to change it. What I'm trying to do now is transform words into images, basically. I will not change her story but rather improve it and add more details to it so the fans can enjoy everything that they've imagined when they read it, but this time on a big screen.
- It sounds amazing! And you sound excited about it! Is the rest of the cast as excited as you? Was it hard to find the perfect cast?
- It was pretty hard to find the right people for the job, but I'm very happy with the choices we made. They are definitely excited about it and we can't wait to start filming. I believe the fans will be obsessed with Dorset as the viscount and even more obsessed with Kate. She's an excellent actress and I couldn't have found a better person to play Kathani. - his eyes turn to her only to find her already staring at him with a smirk on her face.
- Oh I'm sure we're all as thrilled as you are, if not more. Now before we wrap up, from your point of view how would you describe the story? What can we learn from it?
