"Please, stop!" I cry out as figures in masks and lab coats cut me with scalpels and inject me with needles holding bright colored liquids. My vision goes blurry as the room starts to spin. I collapse against the castle, metal bed; allowing the restraints to hold me in their grasp.

Out of the corner of my eye, I spot a figure standing in the corner of the stark white room, beady eyes watching me closely.

The figure steps out of the shadows to reveal a familiar face. I gasp and struggle against the restraints again, Fighting to escape but to no avail.

I'm injected again and everything goes black.

......................

I wake with a start, jolting up in bed and gasping rapidly for breath. I throw off my thin blanket and allow my eyes to adjust to the dim light of the small room.

After a large storm that hit Star city last afternoon, I decided to spend my days wages on a cheap motel room instead of braving the cold in fear of getting sick.

I walk over to the small basin in the corner of the room, splashing my face with a small handful of water in an attempt to wake up a bit more.

Sitting back down on the edge of the bed, I put on my worn sneakers and a fresh t-shirt I 'borrowed' from the laundry room.

I'm about to stand up when I hear the loud bang of a door slamming from outside followed by multiple heavy footsteps coming up the stairs.

Furrowing my eyebrows, I walk over to my room's door and open it slightly, peeking through.

I make out what looks like at least a dozen men in military uniforms storming up the stairs and carrying guns. I squint slightly and am able to make out a familiar face leading them. The same man from the nightmares I've been having. General Eiling.

......................

I quickly shut my door and lock it, breathing heavily as I think of what to do. They must be here for me. I have to escape.

I scan my room, my gaze settling on the small window in the corner.

I run up to it and form a small ball of energy in my hand, using it to blast the window; shattering the glass.

Without any hesitation, I jump down the three storey drop, using my energy to slow my fall and rolling to absorb the impact slightly.

I wince at the pain that radiates from my shoulder and the sharp stinging of the small cuts from the gravel and glass shards alike.

Taking a deep breath, I stand up and brush the glass shards off of myself. I hear the sounds of a gun shot followed by a thud beside me. I whip to the side to see a dart that probably has sedatives in it next to me; barely having missed.

I jolt forwards and run down the street, pushing past a few people as I hear heavy footsteps close behind me.

Why are they after me?

I continue running before a hand grasps my arm, pulling me into an alley and covering my mouth with their hand.

I stay still as the soldiers run past before throwing myself out of their grasp, whipping around and forming some energy in my hand.

"Who are you?" I demand the hooded figure. They reach up a hand to their hoodie; grasping it before pulling it off to reveal the person within. I gasp in surprise.
