Harry was staying in California for a bit after recording a song with me and sorting out his next North America tour. Truth be told I didn't want him to leave, partly just because it was nice to have another European close by, but also because we had got close after recording a song together. He was staying till Christmas so he could finish a Gucci campaign, but even so I would miss his British humour and appreciation for tea when he does go home.

He had managed to rent a beach house for relatively cheap because it was winter. Ironically California winters were warmer than British summers, so he was having a great time by the water.

Ezra and Harry went way back after meeting at multiple music parties and award shows. They had mutual respect for each other and it was Harry's debut album that was Ezra's first production job. Ezra was the one who convinced Harry to be a featured artist on my new album. When I got in the booth and heard his silky-smooth vocals, I knew his help would be amazing.

I arrived at Harry's House first, hopping off my new Triumph Bonneville Street Twin motorbike and waving at Harry through the window. He walked over to me, barefoot on the stone driveway, taking my beach bag and showing me inside. It was understated for how big of an artist he was but still spacious and open, decorated nicely in neutral colours. He showed me to the patio that overlooked the beach before going back inside to let the others in.

Ezra was the first one to make it to the sand, kicking it around like a manic toddler, the sun reflecting off their hair. They smiled and laughed before waving at the rest of us to come down.

After everyone had gotten settled on the beach, we all decided to start drinking and playing beach games. Ezra queued up some beach day tunes whilst Harry and I tried to beat Bella in a cartwheeling competition. She ended up winning, but Harry proved to be a worthy competitor.
