It had been a few weeks since the video dropped and the hype around it continued to grow. Every single fan had an opinion on what it meant and the symbolism behind each part. I wish I could say I was like Taylor Swift, carefully curating each moment, but apart from the lighting colours I just wanted to have a good time. Having big names like Silas Hale and Zendaya in the video didn't hurt either, their fans making edits of the video on TikTok and Instagram.
I picked up my phone to show Silas the views while Ezra sat on my kitchen counter swinging their legs at Bella as she tried to get a drink from the fridge. Silas looked down before giving me a high five and a big smile. Ezra hopped down from the counter to see what we were high fiving about.
"Damn number one on trending, that's impressive Ash"
I smiled at their remark doing a bow and sarcastic hat tip. Ezra nodded their head in return, Bella sauntering over to see the cause of our childish behaviour. She winked at me once she saw the view count.
"So, Chris tells me Flo almost came to the party"
"Oh yeah, she couldn't make it. She sent me a nice text to apologise though"
"You've been messaging Flo and you didn't tell us?"
I stared at my feet realising Bella had found out about my new friendship.
"Ash we're not mad you didn't tell us; we're excited for you" Silas smiled.
I grinned at their support, recalling our café meet up and how we were becoming closer. Bella now had a slightly mischievous look on her face her mouth forming a sly smirk.
"It's fine she wasn't at your party because the entire Avengers cast is coming to the Victoria Secret show. We can all meet your new bestie then"
We talked some more about the show, assuring Silas we'd get him seats near the cast and telling Ezra not to criticise the sound guys, no matter how bad their skills were in exchange for getting their friend Fivel a ticket. Both Bella and I were starting to wonder if it was just friendship, but we wanted to give it time before asking.
We settled around my kitchen, eating pizza and chatting about whatever came to mind. It was nice to sit doing nothing with people I cared about.
