"Maybe they were different or they were not meant to be..."

"were you being well son?"

Major General Kim Wunbin gave a warm hug to his elder son.

"It has been a while. Isn't it?"

A fond smile coloured his face. Doctor Seokjin hummed, hugging back his father warmly.

It really had been a while since he had seen his father. Jin bit his bottom lip nervously.

He was happy to see his father. He really was. But with that, a sharp pain ran down to his chest tightening his whole heart.

He looked at his younger sister who was smiling at him softly.

"Hey jiwoonah, come here"

Seokjin hugged her too along with his father.

"Oppa I missed you"

she mumbled, hiding his face on the elder's broad shoulders.

"I missed you too princess"

he loved her. Doctor Seokjin loved her a lot. She was the only sibling he had. She was his sister but she acted like his mother after the death of his beloved mother.

Seokjin exhaled a deep breath looking at the man who was standing beside them. No one cared about his existence at the moment.

But not everyone. Seokjin cared. He really cared. More than his own life he cared for the man who was staring back at him dolefully.

General Namjoon cleared his throat, loud enough to get Major General's attention back at him.

"Namjoon, son, let's go back to your cabin. I just wanted to meet my handsome son at first. But we have a lot to talk"

Namjoon nodded without taking his eyes away from Seokjin. He couldn't. He just couldn't take his eyes away from him.

Seokjin smiled at him. Softly. Lovingly.

"I know we're all going through a difficult time. But you know son, I can't let Jiwoo stay alone anymore. She wants a husband"

Wunbin laughed at his own words patting on Namjoon's shoulder.

Trying to hide his dark face, General Namjoon smiled at his superior who was eager to fulfill the promise that he had with his father.

"Let's go son. We have lots of work to do"

Wunbin wrapped his arm around Namjoon's shoulder, dragging him away from the medical room.

He turned his head back painfully. Nothing is more painful than seeing Seokjin's sad pouty face.

Namjoon let out a deep sigh, heading to his cabin along with General Wunbin.

An awkward silence lingered around both siblings drowning in oceans of their deep thoughts.

"I want to see jungkook"

jiwoo broke the silence startling Seokjin at once.

"Oppa, is he in the camp?"

A slight hope brightened in her dark eyes. Seokjin nodded nonchalantly.

He knew what his father wanted and he also knew what his sister actually wanted.

But he also knew that what they both wanted was painful. painful for all of them.

Jiwoo left the room. She had to talk with jungkook. At least for once. She didn't want to give up on her feelings. No. Not yet.
