Electricity ran through Y/n's neck and down to her spine as she slowly turned to see Raiden's indifferent stare and glowing sword. The sharp weapon was an inch away from her head when an electro shield formed around Y/n immediately in retaliation. The shield reflected Raiden's rumored invincible attack and additionally reversed it against her.

The eternal shogun stumbled back in pure shock as her sword flew out of her hands. It clinked against the floor.

"Impossible..."

Y/n grimaced and her hand shot to the back of her neck. It was burning. It was the spot where Scaramouche had placed a mark on her, she realized.

Did he protect her? When he wasn't even here?

Ah... I want to see him.

"Let's go," Y/n said. This time she grabbed onto Lumine's wrist and pulled her to the exit while Raiden was still in shock. They ran out of Tenshukaku alive, surprisingly, and saw Kazuha and his crew outside the gates.

"We are counting on you, bestie!" Y/n called out to the wanderer. Kazuha looked up and his eyes widened when Raiden Shogun appeared out of the blue from behind them, her sword ready to slice them into smithereens.

Kazuha did his job and fended off the attack with double visions, earning a cheer from Y/n.

"Teamwork makes the dream work!"

"How are you still happy in a situation like this?" Lumine crossed her arms with a sad look. "You lost your sister, didn't you?"

"Well, we aren't blood-related so..." Y/n hummed. "But you're right. How am I still happy? Maybe I'm a psychopath, who knows?"

"Or maybe you're just not right in the head!" Paimon added.

"And maybe you should shut up and play your role as an emergency food, how about that?" Y/n cocked a brow. Paimon crossed her tiny arms and pouted.

"She ain't wrong," Lumine smirked.

"Hey!!!"

-

"Welcome to Inazuma City, I suppose," Lumine mused. "We live temporarily in this shed so please don't mind how dirty it is."

Y/n entered the wooden shed and was a bit taken aback at the small size. It was thankfully large enough for two people but it wouldn't be able to fit one more.

"The great hero of Mondstadt deserves better..." Y/n sighed, shaking her head in disappointment. "Is this how the shogun treats you after all you've done?"

After the whole ordeal in Tenshukaku, Lumine proceeded with the storyline and defeated Ei with the help of Yae Miko. Y/n ended up homeless in the Inazuman fields for a few days, occasionally defeating some samurai here and there until she met Lumine and Paimon again by chance.

"I don't expect special treatment so it's fine." The blonde smiled. She was a literal angel.

"Well," Y/n plopped down on a single wooden bed with a sigh, "thank you for your hospitality."

Some dust made its way to her nose and she sniffled a bit. Paimon giggled at the sight and shrunk when she saw Y/n's glare.

"Why do you dislike Paimon so much?!" The flying creature whined.

"Do you hear yourself right now?"

Lumine went out to collect some lavender melons for lunch and hunt some animals. Paimon decided to stay with Y/n, to her surprise.

"I thought you followed Lumine every second of the day. Why the sudden change?" Y/n rested her head against her hand and her arm was propped on the pillow. She laid sideways to look at the flying fairy.

"She'll be fine! You, however, are kind of suspicious..." Paimon squinted at her suspiciously to emphasize her feelings.

"Me?" Y/n laughed. "I'm pretty sure a flying emergency food fairy who jumped out of the sea would be more suspicious than a lost girl like me."

"You see! How do you know that I came from the sea?! And during the battle, how did you suddenly become a dead person?!"

"None of your business so stay out of it or I'll make you into a Mondstadt Grilled Fish except it's gonna be Mondstadt Grilled Paimon." She flicked Paimon's little forehead. She bounced back a few feet.

"Ugh, I don't wanna talk to you anymore! You meanie!" Paimon stomped in the air and flew out the door.

"Hm..." Y/n closed her eyes. She was tired. Tired of it all. Why was she still in this world? When will she go back to her world?

She lost a sister and now she missed her family. Her real family. How worried must they be when they see her missing. Just thinking about them made her think about Signora and her final moments. It was different from the original scene.

She had died to protect her. She died with a purpose. She died in vain.

"If you could protect me then why didn't you protect her?" she mumbled, rubbing the back of her neck. The mark zapped her fingers in response, making her flinch. The electro symbol was as feisty as its owner.

"I will only protect what is mine."

An arm wrapped around Y/n's waist and she stiffened. Her heart pounded against her chest as the familiar voice spoke huskily in her ear.

"Nobody touches my Y/n."

"Scara...?" She shivered under his cold touch. His hand now rested on her bare stomach and it was making her sweat bullets. Though his skin was cold, his breaths were warm. The soft breathing made her neck red and appealing to the eyes.

"Mine..."

She could almost swear she felt someone bite down her nape when the door suddenly opened and Lumine barged in with fish in her mouth and squirrels tied up in her hands. Paimon was carrying a bag of lavender melons behind her.

Y/n quickly sat up and looked behind her, mystified. Was she delusional? Was it a dream?

"Mmf? Mmnn, mnnff?" Lumine tried to speak but the living fish flapped around in her mouth, making her words unclear.

"I... nothing. I had a nightmare, that's all."
