Two months ago, Kenma had graduated from college and moved into Kuroo's apartment. Now he sat at the kitchen table, going through emails on his computer.

Before he'd even started his last year of college, Kenma had started up a game company called "Bouncing Ball LTD" and, being the CEO, he had to deal with a lot of annoying stuff.

Absent mindedly, Kenma scrolled through his emails and hummed a bit. He didn't notice when Kuroo walked in.

"Kenma!"

He'd nearly jumped out of his seat when Kuroo yelled excitedly.

"I think you just gave me a heart attack."

Kuroo smiled sheepishly and ran a hand through Kenma's hair. "Sorry, sorry. I'm just really excited."

Kenma shut his computer and turned to fully face his boyfriend. He smiled when he saw the light in Kuroo's eyes. God, he's beautiful. "What's going on?"

"I got promoted!"

Kenma stood up and took Kuroo's face in his hands. "That's great, babe. I'm proud of you."

"Thanks, Kenma." Kuroo kissed him and grinned. "Last week, the match one of my coworkers promoted only had a hundred people show up. But the one I promoted yesterday had over five hundreds people in the crowd."

"So you got promoted because of your promoting?"

Kuroo winked. "Yep. And they gave me tomorrow off. So what do you want to do?"

Still holding Kuroo's face in his hands, Kenma thought for a moment. "You know... My stream viewers have been wanting to see me beat your ass in a game again."

With a wicked grin, Kuroo picked Kenma up and swung him around. "Oh, so I get a nice day off and you want to embarrass me in front of thousands of people huh?"

"You say it as if you don't constantly embarrass yourself. And if I recall correctly, I do need to get payback for you beating me in Mario Kart last week."

Kuroo raised a brow and smiled. "I thought that was just a fluke."

"That doesn't mean I won't get my revenge."

"Alright then." Kuroo's smile grew into a grin. "I'll stream with you. But you have to watch a movie of my choice after."

Kenma kissed Kuroo and hummed happily. "Deal."

Kuroo grinned at the shocked expression on Kenma's face.

"How did you beat me again?"

Crossing his arms triumphantly, Kuroo smirked. "A pro never shares his secrets."

Kenma turned to face his computer with a sigh and stared into the camera. "If you guys see that he was murdered on the news, I definitely had nothing to do with it."

Kuroo gasped. "Are you threatening me? In front of thirty thousand viewers? For shame, Kenma." He laughed as Kenma smacked his arm.

Kuroo watched as his boyfriend ended the stream that had been going on for nearly three hours and smiled. His heart melted at how happy Kenma looked.

When he finished, Kenma turned to him and smiled. "I hope you know I let you win."

"Of course I do," Kuroo laughed. "I figured it out after you crashed for the second time. I gotta say, I did enjoy it regardless."

"I'm glad." Kenma kissed Kuroo's cheek. "I'm gonna make some tea. Do you want any?"

"Sure."

Kuroo followed Kenma to the kitchen and watched him for a few second. His brows furrowed and he frowned.

"Now is this tea because you like tea, or because your head hurts again?"

"Both." Kenma shrugged. "It's fine though. Not that bad."

"You sure?"

"I'm positive. I may not like to make a fuss about it, but I will never lie to you Kuroo. Really. You don't need to be a mother hen all of the time."

"I know, I know. I just..."

"Can't help it?"

"Yeah."

Kuroo walked up to Kenma and hugged him from behind. "I love you."

Kenma glanced at him with those cat-like eyes and smiled. "I love you too." He finished making the tea and handed a mug to Kuroo. "So what movie are we watching?"

Kuroo grinned micheviously. "You'll see."

~

Kenma layed awake in Kuroo's arms, listening to his boyfriend's soft breathing. Kuroo looked so peaceful when he slept. Kenma could only dream of sleeping like that.

He'd woken from a nightmare where Kuroo was the one who was sick, and in it he'd died. The fear he'd felt when he woke up was enough to bring tears to his eyes. Is this how Kuroo feels daily?

Carefully, Kenma maneuvered out from under Kuroo's arms. He threw a sweater on and went out onto their balcony. Puffing out a cold breath, Kenma looked up at the stars.

It must be nice, to be able to sleep soundly at night.

He watched as dark clouds rolled across the sky, blacking out the light of the stars. It must have been thirty minutes that he stood there, watching the sky.

Kenma's mind kept flashing back to that dream. If Kuroo felt even half the things that he had during that nightmare... He needs to talk to him.

He sighed when his head started pounding. It sucks how they happen at the most random times. But recently, they'd become more common.

Kenma felt his heart drop as he thought about that. He'd been feeling pretty good recently, but the bad days keep getting worse and worse when they do come around. And that scared Kenma. In fact, the only thing that scares him more than that is the thought of dying and leaving Kuroo all alone.
