"What are we even doing here?" Lance grunted as the lions soared over a planet covered in lush greenery. "We should be looking for Pidge."

"Lance, it's been a month and we've been searching everyday for her." Keith responded. "You just to accept the possibility that she's"

"She isn't dead!" Lance shot, cutting Keith off. Silence is what echoed throughout the lions for a moment.

"Guys, we need supplies, let's go," Shiro sighed, diving downwards into the planet's atmosphere. The planet's trees were dense and it was hard to find an opening big enough for the lions, but they managed to find out. "Alright, start gathering berries and herbs."

"How do we know what's poisonous?" Hunk asked sniffin a random leaf.

"Not like that." A little girl's voice called out. All weapons were aimed in the treetops. The little girl's green eyes widened. "Don't shoot!" She squeaked her hands up in the air, the green vines wrapped around her hand and arms stood out against her chestnut skin. The green tipped fingers seemed to be the source of the plants. Her dark hair is done messily with leaves and sticks stuck in it.

Shiro raised a hand, the others lowered their weapons. "Are you alone?" He asked with concern in his voice. Why was a little girl out here alone? She slowly nodded.

"No one else lives in this area except me."

"What about your parents?" Hunk asked, stepping forward. The little girl swung down from the tree, the grass seemingly reaching up to catch her.

"It's a tradition to go out on your own once you begin to show signs of growth." She said, wiggling her fingers out in front of her. "So I don't know where they are." She said walking over to a dying flower and cupping it in the palm of her hand, slowly the dying flower regained its bright color and reached upwards toward the sun.

"Woah..." Hunk gaped at the flower. "Can everyone here do that?"

The girl giggled and shook her head. "No, only a chosen few, another reason why mommy and daddy sent me away, they don't want the keepers to take me like they did to the others."

"What happens to the ones they take?" Shiro asked, earning a shrug from the child.

"Enough with this." Lance groaned, stepping forward, let's get the supplies and get out of here." He was in a rush to continue looking for Pidge.

Shiro ignored him, offering a hand to the child who just stared at it. "What's your name?"

She looked up at him before smiling. "I'm Kae."

"Well Kae, can you show us which plants we can use for medicine and which berries are edible."

She nodded, pointing to the plant Hunk was holding. "That one affects others memories, even just touching it does." Hunk startled dropping the plant.

"Why didn't you say something sooner?" He exclaimed hastily, wiping his hands on his armor.

"You didn't ask." She said, skipping forward and pointing to plants and the paladins gathered. After a while they had plenty of food and herbs.

"Alright, everybody ready to go?" Shiro asked, earning nods from the group. The sound of ships pulled their attention upwards.

"Their back..." Kae whimpered, stepping back into the shade of the trees.

"Who?" Shiro asked, moving to grab her.

"Them!" Kae yelled pointing towards a purple gun, a man grinning from behind it. She dove into the forest.
